We are going for SWW, and the kids will be 10mos and 6.5yrs. We will definitely be at HS rope drop one day, possibly two depending on autographs. Otherwise, the rest of our days I think we'll just do regular wake-up time. I don't foresee staying late either, with the exception of the SWW fireworks one night and possibly Illuminations one night. While one of us might return to the room if baby needs a nap, the other will stay in the park with the 6yo (probably with the stroller to avoid on and off the bus alone). Still, our days will not be open to close, so I am thinking that we can take a single stroller and the carrier. If our 6yo needs a rest, we can plop baby in the carrier. Otherwise, I would be borrowing a friend's sit 'n stand (which I really wouldn't look forward to pushing around), or we'd rent something for the week (which seems excessive for a "what if"). We recently took a trip to St. Louis, and my son was fine walking around the zoo for several hours. We really only sat down for lunch. I realize Disney is not the same, but I am also accounting for sitting for a show, parade, meals, etc to help break up the walking.

Also, do you take a stroller lock? Or is there really no need?

I think based on your kids ages and your trip plans, that the single stroller plus carrier should work out well.

Before having DS, I went to Disney with my sisters and my niece (10 months at the time). We brought a stroller lock and really only used it the first day. After that we didn't bother with it. Since that trip I've been with a stroller at least 4 times, and have left the lock at home. I think you'll be fine without it.

I think a single stroller and carrier will work well with the ages of your kids. I found my carrier very useful in lines when my baby couldn't walk yet. I do take my stroller lock and use it sporadically. Cast members frequently move the strollers around and the lock was incredibly jammed once from it being pushed while locked. I also don't leave anything valuable in the stroller (diapers, snacks, change of baby clothes-nothing that would devastate me if stolen). But I think you could easily throw a lock through your bag handle to your stroller if you are worried about it. I have also heard a few tips like putting a coffee stained burp cloth on top of stroller to keep thieves away or a bright ribbon on handles.

Given the ages of your kids, I think you will be fine with a stroller and carrier. I would say no to the lock. As someone else said, CMs tend to move the strollers a around a lot, which is frustrating, but they do it to keep things orderly and make room for new strollers once people who have been there the longest depart. Locks make it hard for them to do their job. Also, they could mess up the lock or the stroller when moving it with a lock.

Great thanks! I hadn't thought about them moving the strollers, so I think I will skip the lock. I don't have one anyway, but had considered running a bike lock through instead. I will put something on to easily identify the stroller though. Seems like it would be helpful!

I agree with others that you should be good with a carrier and single stroller. We brought a carrier and a double and still used the carrier a ton with a almost two-year-old. Very helpful for rides and lines. We also did one day of Star Wars Weekend and I used the carrier for the parade since we weren't in the front row and it's easier then holding a child for an extended period.
Are you doing any of the special dinning experiences? We did the Hollywood and Vine Star Wars Disney character dinner and it was amazing although really expensive.
