If you could only choose one (and CRT not an option).

Breakfast at Crystal Palace in MK, pooh character.

The characters are great and the food is very good.

same restaurant, but i would do dinner. Love the dinner food there.

Just tried Garden Grill, Tusker House, CP and Akershus last trip- CP was hands down the best as far as the food goes.

Chef Mickey's (dinner)....characters appeal to both ages! Food isn't the greatest, but it's not bad either.

Crystal Palace had a great breakfast, but when we went, my DS had just turned 8 (it was his birthday trip) and considered himself "too old" for Pooh and Friends. He had fun, but he liked Chef Mickey's better.

I totally agree with the pp. My DS is 9 yo and when we go to WDW he still looks forward to eating at Chef Mickeys.

For our upcoming October trip, we needed one more TS and Crystal Palace was immediately shot down by him. He likes character meals but also thinks he is "too old" for Pooh. Though he loves the Pooh ride.

I also have a 4 yo DD, so we also have to consider both ages.

Another good one they both enjoyed is Lilo and Stitch breakfast at ohanas.

Who are Nicholas and Emmas favorite characters? Of course the breakfast or lunch would be the cheaper option. Breakfast I would do either Chef Mickey or Tusker House and breakfast or lunch Crystal Palace. At Tusker House its a long walk to the buffet. (just thinking of you and Emma)

I agree that this is a risk with your DS. Chef Mickey's was so much fun: he's allowed to twirl his napkin, sing, maybe dance a bit, the monorail is cruising by overhead. There is enough to keep the 19mo old occupied. You'll concern will be capturing it all!
