Hi! We arriving in Anaheim the evening of June 1st (Staying at HoJo's) It would be great to be able to get in just to browse the shops of Main Street U.S.A.

I read in another thread that you can give your credit card # to do this. Can a family of 3 get in to shop like this? Should I check in at the info booth just me and my daughter and have my husband do it separately? Do they allow this later in the afternoon/evening?

Thanks!

Cathy

Hi, KMR, the shopping pass is only for one person at a time, and it's just for one hour, and not after 4 p.m. Here's a quote about this from mousesavers. com:

Here's a little-known bit of information about Disneyland in California: you can enter the park for FREE for one hour or less with a "shopping pass." The intended purpose of this program is to allow someone who forgot to purchase a souvenir the opportunity to go into the park and buy it.

A shopping pass may be obtained by visiting the Guest Services Window next to the Main Entrance of Disneyland. The shopping pass provides 60 minutes of park admission at no charge. To obtain a pass, you will need to provide a valid credit card or cash in the amount of a 1-Day Ticket for deposit. You will then be given a ticket with a specified return time. When you return to Guest Services within the specified time, you will not be charged for a 1-Day Ticket. The shopping pass is not available after 4 pm.They are very strict about the one-hour time limit, and only one person in your party will be allowed to do this. Some people have been asked to show a receipt when returning to Guest Services -- others have not.

My DH did this in April to pick up a couple souvenirs for our upcoming trip, and to sort of get the lay of the land. They did ask him when he got back to guest services, what dollar amount he had spent.

Hope that helps!

Thanks Avalon! I guess we will just pass on that then. We will hit the Disney Character Warehouse that evening instead!

Most of the standard Disney souvenirs can be found at World of Disney in DTD (and it's open late until about 12:30 am or so).:thumbsup2

Have you looked into what the cost would be to add an extra day to your ticket? For our 5 day park hopper it was only about $5 (definately no more than $10) per person. When you figure how much you can get done in a couple of hours, it's well worth the $$$
