2 hour lines Saterday what about Thursdays?

A co-worker was at HHN this past weekend on Saturday night and the lines went well past 2 hours at each house.
My son and hubby are going this Thursday (tomorrow), are the lines this bad on Thursdays??

It's very possible even probable tomorrow night will be packed since Orange County schools are out on Friday. This week is typically called Hell Week but it's usually later in the month.

Sounds like an exaggeration. We have been there 7 nights so far, including two peak, and have not seen any 2 hour ways. Most was 90 for Saw. We didn't go last weekend but were watching the times online and didn't see that either. Saw gets the worst lines because it is popular and also right next door to the Bill & Ted show. You may see waits of 60 to 90 on some of the houses this weekend, but if you want to be sure you will see everything just buy an Express Pass. Pricey but worth it.

We were there this past Thursday,we had the stay and scream so we got to go a little earlier then others.Longest we waited after everyone came in was 20 mins.except for chucky it was 75min. wait.We came back Sunday night to do the chucky house.Didn't like it.Not scary,just good props!

if you are talking about saturday oct. 10, i believe your co worker.

that night, i went to the 6:00 bmg and it got out prior to 8.

around 10 pm, i went to the ticket booth out front of the studios entrance and saw streams of people leaving the park.

i counted over 60 people in about a 3 minute time period.

i found that hard to believe so many were leaving already so i talked to a number of them and asked why they left so early.

everyone of them said the line waits were too much.
2 hour waits and total crowding in the park were also mentioned.
none of them had the ep.

3 couples told me they were in line for over 100 minutes and weren't even close to entering the houses.

for the last nine years, i have always done saturday night hhn.
this was my tenth year and i took a pass on going on the saturday.

the last 2 years for a saturday on the columbus day weekend have grown to a crowd level that is too much for me to deal with.

i always go to hhn for 4 nights in a row but not this year.
even with buying the ep each night i attend doesn't cut it for me with the crowd level. when lines for the RR are out the door, lines for louie's out the door, i know when to avoid a certain night there.

Thursday crowds normally are much better than the sunday crowds.
there were some long line waits on the 8th but i had the ep so i did not have tremendous waits for the houses.

the longest wait i had was 20 minutes that night.
stay and scream had more waiting that night than in past years which surprised me.

the non peak nights will have crowds whenever schools are closed the next day or possible due to a holiday.
not everyone has columbus day off but the crowds on a sunday can grow.

this past sunday was not too bad but i think the heat kept many locals away from the event.


i hope the op will come back and let us know how the lines were for them.
i returned home late tuesday from 2 weeks in orlando and just now reading up how other's experiences were.

depending on what part of the park you are in on a certain night, might give you a different perspective on how you see the crowd level.

Good God! Last night (Thurs.) was a total cluster. 120 at Saw, with an EP line of 30 mins. at least. Not all of the houses were that bad, but 60-100 mins. were not uncommon. Early on the lines were reasonable, but people came out of the woodwork as the night went on. EP is the way to go, and even then you need to hit Saw early.

And don't get me started on the morons smoking in line. That's common on crowded nights, but this is the first year I have had the majority of people refuse to put 'em out even when asked and then when being reminded that it's forbidden in the lines. One smoking group last night pretended not to speak English. Funny how they suddenly understood it perfectly when I say, "Do you comprendo the phrase 'Put it out right now or I am going to get Security?'"

barb, this is why i go the third weekend period for hhn.
(columbus day weekend for the thurs to sun.)

that time period has crowds but nothing like the rest of the month will have.
the longer into the season, the more peeps will come to the event.


last year i said, Sundays are more like peak nights due to the crowds.
sounds like thursdays, which were the best kept secret are becoming the new sundays.........


i heard some schools were closed today in florida.
maybe why the bigger crowds last night??
