Hello Friends:lmao: Im sure this has been covered but i am a rookie here and didnt see this on the boards. If i wanted 200pts, can i buy from two different vacation club resorts:confused3 (eg. 100pts AKV and 100pts BCV) and have two different home bases? And if this is allowed will i be able to book 11 months in advance for both resorts or just the first one i booked:surfweb:If this allowable and anyone has experienced it, i would appreciate the feedback.:wizard::welcome: Thanks

it is allowed but ONLY your AKV pts (banked, current or borrowed) are good for booking AKV at 11 months and ONLY your BCV pts (banked, current or borrowed) are good for booking BCV at 11 months.

you can combine AKV and BCV at SEVEN months out to book whichever resort has availability.

So what would you recommend? If you needed all 200 points for a full week and wanted to stay at AKL. Should you book half your stay at 11 months with the 100 AKL points and hope the other half is available at 7 months?

to limit confusion, let's say you buy 100 AKV pts and 80 BCV pts:

one option is to swap home resorts every other year-

you stay at AKV in year 1 using 100 current AKV pts and 100 borrowed AKV pts. you can book that stay 11 months in advance - which may be critical if you are booking a concierge room - but you would be out of AKV pts in year 2. since you are staying at AKV, you would bank 80 BCV pts in year 1.

so in year 2, you can book BCV at 11 months with 80 banked BCV pts and 80 current BCV pts, for a total of 160 BCV pts every other year - this may be very important if you are booking BCV during food and wine at epcot. (you could also book BCV with borrowed BCV pts for a total of 240 pts every third year.)

another option, as you've noted, is to book AKV at 11 months with AKV pts, and fill in additional dates (such as weekends or whatever) if they are available at 7 months with BCV pts.

but yeah, you just can't use BCV pts to step in front of AKV owners during the home resort window at AKV, or vice-versa.

That is exactly what we do with AKV and SSR. We have 150 pts at each and are able to make ressies at 11 months out by banking and borrowing.
