Awww - thanks! Happy Halloween to you too! If you wanna know how we spent Halloween night, check out my Lurkyloo Does WDW blog... ;)

So glad I found this TR! I read your wedding TR and loved it, thought your wedding was sooo beautiful. Thanks for writing! I know what you mean about taking time to get into vacation mode...I discovered these lovely little things called Grand Marnier slushes at the France Pavillion in Epcot...well, after that my vacation got much more relaxed!:cool2:

Thanks for reading! That's a great tip... I'm going to have to take up drinking before our next trip so I can utilize your shortcut :rotfl:

I just had a chance to catch up on your last few entries. I can't believe how empty PI was on the last night! We went while we were there- maybe 3 weeks before it closed - but only went to AC (because I had never been there before!). I actually got to visit it with WDWPolyPrincess, which was cool, but it was pretty packed so we couldn't even get into the library. I am kicking myself for not having gone there on past trips.

You have so many great pictures...I really want a meat salad or big plate of fudge right now...and a bat bowtie!

I am kicking myself for not having gone there on past trips.

At least you guys got to go :sad1:

I'm going to have to go onto youtube to find out what happened there at AC...it looks like such a kick. I wish I could have seen it! :headache:

Good to see you here! :wave2:

Oh my gosh - I can't believe I forgot to post the best picture we took at Tony's Town Square!!

This day was the opposite of the previous day – we have hardly any pictures. But that’s because we were hanging out with our wedding photographers and new pals Nathan & Jensey, so we pretty much left the picture-taking to them. We had so much fun with them at our wedding that we made a date to go to breakfast later on in our honeymoon. But then they both got sick and we never got to meet up. So finally, on this trip, we got a chance to spend some quality time getting to know them without the distraction of trying to look fabulous every time they looked our way. Well, mostly not trying….

Just some insurance!

In the morning we met Nathan & Jensey at the Polynesian, our future home and, we almost forgot, Jennifaerie & Rob’s present home - we ran into them at the monorail station. They had just taken “Just Married” pictures with the Roots the day before, so it was like old home week at the Polynesian.

We six rode the monorail to the Magic Kingdom and got to see a sneak peek of their amazing photos. Here’s what we saw:

[Swoooon!]

Jennifaerie and Rob bid us adieu at the end of the line, but it wouldn’t be the last time we saw them….

So Nathan & Jensey & DH & I got to spend the morning riding rides and goofing off. Lunch was a decent but not terribly exciting hot dog at… Cosmic Ray’s? The restaurant in Tomorrowland that has three separate food stations, each one greasier than the last. I don’t have food porn of this meal yet because we thought it would be HIGH-larious to ask professional photographers to take pictures of our hot dogs and fries….

Shortly after lunch we achieved our goal of completely wearing Nathan & Jensey out, so they had to go home and recover for a bit. We went back to Pop and collapsed in a heap for a few hours until the maid pounded on our door for no reason. The plan was to meet up again for dinner at Whispering Canyon that night.

On our way to the rendezvous we found out what kind of car Jesus drives…

We killed time wandering around Wilderness Lodge, eventually ending up in the Iron Spike Room in the DVC wing.

I had an idea for a funny photo that didn’t really work out…

Snow White?

On the way back to the main lobby, we saw some muck!

… and took a picture for Wazzo of The Duck!

There was kind of a wait for a table at Whispering Canyon, so when Nathan & Jensey arrived, we took them on a tour of our fave spot at Wilderness Lodge….which… I don’t have a picture of... It’s the alcove on the fourth (I think) floor with a fireplace and comfy chairs, right next to the reading area that looks like a college library...

Finally our buzzer buzzed!

I kinda forgot when I invited them to join us at our Whispering Canyon ADR that it is not the kind of place to have a getting-to-know-you double date, what with all the hootin’ and hollerin’… but we still had a lot of fun! Because there were four of us, you get double the food porn this time.

Flavor of the Day Smoothie… I can’t remember which flavor. I’m gonna go with “pink”… and a peanut butter shake (not on the menu – our waitress kindly agreed to try and whip one up!)

Smoked Prime Rib - with mashed potatoes and season vegetables $21.99

Whiskey Maple-Glazed Trout - Served with an arugula-frisee salad $17.99

Western Chicken Pasta - with fresh vegetables tossed with Roasted Garlic Chipotle Cream Sauce $17.99

Roast Chicken - mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables $17.49

I was pleasantly surprised by my trout – not usually something you order at a BBQ joint, but quite moist and flavorful!

After dinner, Nathan & Jensey graciously agreed to come to the Magic Kingdom with us to see Wishes, even though Jensey isn’t crazy about it. I agree – I wish they’d send Walt Disney World a copy of our Disneyland fireworks show… However, this was to be the first time DH and I had ever seen it from inside the park standing on Main Street! On our honeymoon, we saw Wishes from inside Cinderella’s Royal Table, from California Grill, and from our balcony at the Beach Club Villas, but never from the normal viewing spot.

So here’s what we saw… (probably not in order)

After the show we four parted ways, but not for long – you won’t believe where we met up with Nathan & Jensey a few days later!

Woo hoo, professional Food Porn... very HIGH class! Why it's downright R rated. In fact, it's making my amateur food porn pics feel slutty.

:lmao:

ooh.. i never thought about it, but maybe I can get the roots to do a photo sesh when I am there next sept?? I'm almost positive I can not afford this, but crap.. I love their style! Can't wait to see your pics!

Love the Tony's pic!! So cute!!

Wow yummy food at WCC! I don't think i've seen anything except the skillet!!

The Tony's spaghetti kiss picture is priceless.

Loved your Wishes pictures as well. Hearing your talked Remember Dreams Come True makes me sad that we will see Believe in Holiday Magic instead in December. I soooo wanted to hear Julie Andrews & see those fireworks, but a December trip means holiday fireworks. Will I be disappointed? I doubt it.

Thanks for the food porn and for sharing those awesome pics and for the Wishes pics!

On our way to the rendezvous we found out what kind of car Jesus drives…

IMG_7955.jpg

Now you're just making me feel guilty... a few years ago, during our first stay at VWL, I told DS (then just 7) that there were alligators who lived in that muck and thrived on whiny kids. :rolleyes1 Guess that line won't work on him now that he's a teenager, huh?

Hi,
I've thoroughly enjoyed your trip report. Your wedding was the most beautiful I've EVER seen (LOL, yes, more beautiful than the weddings I have seen up close and in person, and have served as maid of honor in again and again!). I love that you were able to use the nostalgia, the spirit, and the beauty of Disney without relying on the princess-y, carriage-y, prince-y elements. I think your necklace was so eclectic and really set the tone... haha and so did your very animated DH. How adorable! Your dessert party was exquisite as well. Also, I noticed that your father looked so overwhelmingly proud in the video of the wedding, it melted my heart.

I'm 29, going to Disney in January with my parents and sister... I'll be throwing a coin into the first wishing well hoping to meet someone who appreciates the same things I do! (Although I cannot proclaim myself a Disney vet, as I haven't been in 15 years... just waiting for my parents to take me again, I suppose, LOL). However, the wish worked for you, so I'm now a believer in wishes. Thanks for the wedding report, the subsequent trip reports, and hopefully so many more to come! (Sorry you couldn't do 2 Haunted Mansions in one day).

I appreciate your writing style so much. If you and DH wrote a Disney guide I would be the first in line to buy it. Really! Are you an attorney? (I am, so it's not an insult LOL), or are you in publishing, or what. You have me stumped... you are lively and interseting... yet an exquisite writer... I cannot figure what you must do for a living. Advertising? Teaching? hmmm. I know your DH is a puppeteer.

I'm serious about the Disney book thing... find an angle and work it!

Take care. Tell DH I said hello, and thank him for his very amusing poses in photographs!
