2 HALF Marathon (WDW & DL) things....

1st up, I was on the Wide World of Sports page checking out the DL race and it's been updated to read ...

2nd, my question. I had known they sold commemorative championchips and found myself on Championchips website. On page...

Scroll down and by Chip Concepts they explain the different chips but what caught my eye was the photo (you can click on to enlarge) with the chips that have race logos on them and especially a certain chip with a Mouse.

So here is my question, has anyone bought the commemorative Disney chips? They mention them in the big event book they mailed us back in Nov on page 11 (Expo page) but had they shown a photo of what one looks like I'd have been all over one! LOL So who has one and are they just so darn cute we gotta get one or what?

I'd buy a chip and use my own if it had a Disney character on it!

Oh- 50% fillled?! I better get registered!!!!! I can't miss out on DL. I have the ticket & I have the room. I'm going to AAA this week to pick up DL & Anaheim brochures. Were are you staying?

I havent seen the Mickey Champion Chip but I might would like one too. I am doing Minnie, DL & WDW next year. I met someone in the corral this year that bought one but I it was too dark for me to see it. She had bought hers a couple of years ago & was still using it. Compared to everything else I've been buying for my new obsession $30 isnt bad. Go for it, you'll feel better wearing Mickey

TiffJ we're staying at the DL Resort, it's a 1st visit for a couple of us so of course we have to stay there

Chimera, Thanks for the link!!! I haven't had chip issues yet, my fear is I'll lose it on the course. No biggie on a 5K but on the Half it's a fear that has me checking my shoe every so often

MickeySP, I figured this years would be gone and no chance to get one, oh my! now a decision which is leaning towards oh yeah! LOL I didn't do the Goofy but did you see that one? Way cool! I really liked the logos this yea.

The Goofy is cool looking. Maybe next year - yeah right - LOL!!

We are also staying at DL Hotel for the 1/2 in September. I was so excited to see the start & finish is just outside the hotel.
