We're booked at Disneyland Hotel for 5 nights in August (last minute trip), but airfare is substantially cheaper if we add 2 nights (rather spend the $ on hotel than airfare!) So... we're trying to figure out where to add 2 extra nights. What would you choose?

Candy Cane Inn for around $300 for the 2 nights (we've stayed there before and like it)

Paradise Pier Concierge for around $650/2nts (never been there)

Disneyland Hotel for $600/2nts (on the face of it this seems most convenient, but a different room category is all that's available, so would mean change of room anyway)

What do you think?

Are your extra nights before or after your original stay? It would make a difference in my answer...If you are adding days to the beginning, I'd say go with CCI and save the $300 for something special (meal, tour, etc). If you are adding days to the end I'd be more likely to stay onsite because it may be a letdown to move to less magic at the end of the trip.

You get the early morning entry for each day that they have it if you stay at the Disney hotels....but I would stay at the Disneyland..not Paradise Pier. I wouldn't be surprised if they let you stay in your same room once you got there....if not they will probably move your luggage for you to the new room, you just leave it packed in your old room....this happened to us before! Disney is very helpful. 300.00 does pay for some fun things, so you need to decide if you want the convenience and early morning admission, or the $!!!!!
