2 Dessert Parties?

Would 2 dessert parties be overkill? One as a welcome party two nights prior and the other on the wedding night?

I think 2 dessert parties so close together could be too much (just my opinion). However, if you were going to to do it, I would choose 2 totally different shows. Example, one would be Illuminations and the other Fantasmic.

Personally I think it takes away the excitement of the one on the wedding day, but that's just my opinion.
