2 days to go

so we're down to the wire...
when exactly did summer get here?
i mean, it seems as if we only just got back from WDW yesterday, although it was last July, and here it is again...
i guess i'm getting old (right....more like, i got old a few years ago, and i'm finally realizing it now)..

anyway.....we leave in 2 days....yikes....haven't packed yet.....what am i saying, we haven't even unpacked from last year yet.....guess i'd better do that...

this year we're not going 'home' during our home visit, only to WDW and NYC (gotta get our 3 day Manhattan fix), so my Mom is coming down to WDW to celebrate her birthday with us...... I hope the CMs are as wonderful to her this time as they were when she joined us at WDW 3 years ago for her 75th... ..

i'm really happy with the reservations we have (i changed one of them only last night - there are lots of great rooms available onsite, even now and even this close).....and all the last minute restaurant reservations haven't been a problem at all....everything I've wanted has been available....

For the first time in 32 years of visits, I have a daily schedule planned for us.....on paper and everything....like a military exercise..... What with the morning and evening EMHs I want to be sure to avoid, it almost took a computer program to figure it out.....but we're all set.....segway tour, restaurant ARs, hotels (and i went crazy with one of them.....really nutty.......i'll tell you all about it when i get back.....assuming it works out as i hope)....special onsite birthday meal with my mom reserved too.......airline tickets in hand, passports checked and double-checked.....everything ready.....oh....except for that one little detail....packing.....i'd better finish this and get on with that...

i just hope that mother nature cooperates......our last leg of our hours and hours and hours and hours of travel has us arriving into orlando exactly when Dennis will be level with Tampa/Orlando.....please just let us land....but if we do get diverted to Miami, no biggie.....into a rental car and up on I-75....i haven't been on I-75 since i was a little girl on our many road tips to Miami....it will be a nice opporunity for nostalgia (do they still have those silly roadside stops with the HUGE oranges overhead?)...

so....that's it.....we're off.....our shortest WDW trip ever (but we had to get back quickly this year)....only 2 weeks in WDW and 3 days in the big Apple....no home visit....which means all shopping will be in Orlando this year....a new experience for us.....should be fun...

the good news is, i found my WDW clothes - they were still in the suitcase, unpacked from last year.....so i'm all set.....washed them (although i'd washed them before coming back home last summer - but still, they'd been in there all year) and put them right back....voila....packed.....

made a few more PSs.....and i just decided on another that i'm going to try for as soon as the east coast of the US wakes up....and then i'm ready...

the doggie's at her kennel (and i miss her terribly already)....

so it seems we're ready to roll....
