We have never been to DL and was wondering if 2 days per park (2 at DL and 2 at CA) is enough to do everything? Now we have been to WDW many times and do each park one day except MK we do in 2 days. Usually the left side one day and then the right the next. We won't be doing many of the little rides because my youngest is 8 and loves all the big rides. He has been riding SM since he was 3!! We also won't be riding the big roller coaster like the one in CA because I'd be the only one going on it:lmao: I figured if we have time after CA closes we could head to DL and finish what we haven't done if anything. Does this sound reasonable or should I add 1 more day? We already are doing 3-4 days in LV and 2 days in Hollywood and 1 day at the beach? Thanks for all the advice:yay:

Well by estimating your trip date, I think you're going in early March?? If so, I think you'll be fine as long as you go early enough in the month to avoid big Spring Break crowds. The best thing about DL compared to WDW is the much easier ability to park hop. So I wouldn't designate 1 day for DL and the next to DCA. I recommend getting to DL in the morning every day, hopping to DCA during the busy afternoon (DCA NEVER gets as crowded as DL on any given day), and returning to DL for the evening. But 4 days will definitely allow you to see a lot that the resort has.

It's never enough

You should be fine. I would be doing 3 days in disneyland and 1 day in C. Adventures. Have you been there before?

I just took my boyfriend down who had never been there before. I made him a list of all the rides he had to do to save from doing the less interesting rides. I suggest doing the same thing so you don't feel overwhelmed when you get there.

HAVE A BLAST!

Yes we are arriving either the 9th or 10th of March for the 4 days. So I know on the weekend the crowds will get busier. That is why I thought to do DL on the weekdays and then do CA on the weekend. We want to hit Fantasmic and by last March schedule, the show is only on the weekends so we would hop back to DL in the evening. No, DisneyFairytale we have never been to the one in California. You must have read my mind, the list is already made on the rides we want to do that aren't in WDW first. Thanks for the advice and the suggestions

We used to do DCA in 1/2 day LOL, this last trip we spent a day there and were amazed we did. It was fun and there were still some things we missed. So I would like PP has said make a list of what you want to hit. If you want TSMM you should get there early in the day, the line gets long and it has no fast pass.
DL there is never enough days as PP said too! We spent 5 solid days and could of added another LOL
But again make a list of what you want to see and you can hit quite a bit in 2-3 days.
Your gonna love it

This should be fine. The Disneyland Resort recommends that our Guests spend at least two days each at both Disneyland Park and Disney's California Adventure Park. This is more than enough time to allow you to fully experience the Magic and Wonder of both Parks.

Of course, even more days would allow you to explore the Parks at an even slower pace, taking things in at a rate that suits you :).

I think two days per park is the perfect amount of time. Especially if it's your first time there.

It depends on whether you are just wanting to ride rides or you want to see shows and attractions. DCA is easily done in one day, if you are not going to do extensive touring. Otherwise, probably a day and a half might do it. DL can be done in two days - again, shows and attractions will slow you down, but who does Disney without seeing any shows, lol?

4 full days at the park will be fine. I have done both parks entirely in 3 days. That was at a steady pace... not a grueling pace though, that would kill my ox. :rotfl2:(If anyone gets the joke I am making... I will love you forever) :thumbsup2

80's and early 90's reference's aside, 4 days will leave you satisfied with what you acomplished as long as your go at open and magic morning. I hope you have a great trip!

Four days total is perfect - it's easy to hop back and forth between parks as crowds fluctuate, so it's probably better not to assign a whole day to one specific park. I'd estimate that 75% of our time is spent at Disneyland and 25% at California Adventure Park.

Now the true question is, do you have enough room for me in your suitcase?? :flower3:

:rotfl2: Your not the only person wanting to do that!!!!

Thanks everyone for the response. I've started the list already and am slowly adding more to it everyday:rotfl2: I think if we find that CA doesn't take the full 2 days, we will use them up in DL. We do want to do some of the shows especially Aladdin. Everything else I think we will wing it when we get there and get updates and ideas from the disboard in the coming months prior to our trip. Thanks everyone again for all the advice and help
