2 days out!!

I'm 2 days out for my trip and getting happier by the minute. Tho, I will not be solo for this trip (tho there might be...), it will be with my "second family" - my BFF from high school and her parents (I lost mine decades ago). Besides, sometimes, I think Disney is no place for children.

I'm really excited about some of my ADRs: Le Cellier, Teppan Edo and Whispering Canyon Cafe. Has anyone been to these?

I was kinda hoping to snag a last minute Illuminations Cruise and/or a Fireworks Dessert party but it was not meant to be. Next trip!

I hear Merida from Brave is starting to appear in the parks, so she should be nice to see. I can't wait for Brave come out since I saw the trailer at the D23 Expo last year.

so wish I knew you were coming down this weekend...I leave Saturday morning. I dined at all three of the places you're going. Whispeing canyon was good but loud. LeCellier is awesome no matter what you order. Have a great time

I didn't even know I was going! I literally made the decision 3 weeks ago!

I decided I can't go all summer without seeing my little goddaughter. Then bam! everything came together.

No time to even do a pre-trip report. I was able to get a decent rate on airfare, spending a few nights at the fam's, then AP rate at Pop (which is not as good as it used to be). No car, no nothing.

Too funny. I have kids, have loved taking them to Disney, but now they're in their late teens and I'm feeling the same way. I never realized how much fun an adults only trip can be.

Have a great time. I think it's better that you've had little time to plan. I usually plan for so long that the hype of going has occasionally over powered actually being there and I was disappointed.

I've eaten at all 3 restaurants and have totally enjoyed them all.

For me as a solo or adults only trips in terms of parks for the most part (I sometimes have the goddaughter with me), it's the parent's pushiness that drives me nuts. I tend to stear clear of parades and sometimes the fireworks for that reason.

Zero time to plan, but I was happy with the ADRs I did get. I think the Le Cellier one was just dumb luck!!

I'm glad both of you had good experience with the restaraunts!
