2 days in MK, with MVMCP, suggestions?

Initially, I was making a plan that involved spending both full days at the park. But, not only it seemed financially silly (pay 2 reg tickets + party ticket), the first MK day has an evening EMH. I'm pretty sure my party (me, mom and probably little sister 15yo) would appreciate sleeping in on the next day. So I'm shuffling around my plan.

It's my second trip (I went with my sister in October last year), but my mom's first time, so any suggestions are very much appreciated! We are all pretty new at this, and I tend to overlook things ):

First things first: with FP+, you have a one hour window, and the FP windows cannot overlap. You can return 5 minutes early and supposedly up to 15 minutes late. However, FPs and ADRs CAN overlap. Also, Astro Orbiter is one of the few rides that is NOT on the FP system, you can only ride it standby. With your MVMCP tickets, you can book FP between 4-7pm, there is no FP during the party.

You also didn't mention when exactly you're going in Nov or Dec, the expected crowd levels make a difference in what rides you might want to be using FP for. If you stay for the late EMH on first day, it would certainly make sense to sleep in and go to the party. The advantage of getting 2-day tickets is that you can get a lot of rides done the second morning when the lines are shortest. On party days, MK has relatively low crowds in the morning, and starts getting crowded after 4pm when party guests start showing up.

Original plan:
Day 1: I like the idea of reserving your 3 FP in the morning, but I would probably order them differently (Thunder/Splash, then Pirates, JC FP, HM FP, Small World, PP FP). The benefit of reserving FP before lunch is that once you use the first three, you can get additional FP at kiosks. I like WCC and 'Ohana, but that's a lot of traveling outside of the park for meals, but it looks like you want to check out the monorail resorts. Note that 'Ohana is notorious for not seating you on time, that can be a long dinner, you'd want to make sure your ADR is early enough if you're planning on getting back for MSEP.
Day 2: I don't like the timing of the FP. If you use your first 3 FP before lunch, you can easily get a 4th FP at kiosk for a ride like Buzz late afternoon. I like CP and BOG, but think they are too close together. Also, the first 1-2 hours is when the park is the least crowded, it is great time to get a lot of rides done, so I don't like the idea of eating breakfast at 9:30am. Note that CP has ADRs at 8am, before park opens, that's what we always try to do, but those ADRs can be difficult to get.

New plan:
Day 1: Really don't like the three sit-down meals, you are also missing Thunder/Splash mountains, breakfast is during prime ride time, and lunch is too close to breakfast.
Day 2: Shouldn't be a problem getting a WCC ADR, but note that a lot of resort restaurants shut down between lunch and dinner so you'd need to check the exact times they are open.

If you are only have two days at WDW, what do your arrival/departure days look like? If you aren't getting in too late, you could maybe do Ohana or WCC for dinner on your arrival day. Also, you could do a character breakfast like 1900 Park Fare or Cape May Cafe on your departure day, instead of CP.

This web site has lots of good information:

Also, mesaboy2's guide to FP+ is worth checking out:

See, I always forget something! (totally forgot about FP+ not overlapping) I also didn't know about Astro Orbiter. I mean, I should've, because I looked at the cheat sheets from easywdw, but duh.

BOG lunch is still QS right? We did it last year and it was a fairly quick meal.
And yeah, you are right about TCP being too close from BOG. Maybe we can go for a pre-RD breakfast. My 180 window opens tomorrow and we already have room reservations. Will change that.

Thanks for all the input on the meals! It's great having someone more experienced looking into it haha.

I'm planning to skip Thunder/Splash Mtn if needed, because a) me and my sister didn't enjoy it that much b) my mom probably won't want to do it, and if the trip includes her, it's skippable

Sorry, I should've mentioned the dates: December 9th and 10th (Wednesday and Thursday). Crowd levels according to easyWDW: 4 on both days.

I'm not sure whether we'll be going to the party or just getting a second MK ticket and staying until 7pm. My mom's is the one deciding (as she's the one paying! haha). So we might keep plan no1 and leaving early and having dinner somewhere in the resorts, or if going to the party, doing plan no2. Making the appropriate changes, of course.

And we are staying much longer haha, here's our full schedule:

I just didn't want to throw my entire schedule here to ask help, it seemed too overwhelming x_x (I need to change it)

We'll be flying from Chicago, but leaving to Brazil. We're seeing flights and will hopefully be arriving in the afternoon. Just enough time to get ready, go to DTD, eat at the Boathouse and watch La Nouba (my mom loves it, I never watched it)

Yes, BOG lunch is QS. If you can get a CP 8:05am ADR when MK opens at 9am, it's a good deal.

Looks like a good not-too-crowded time to go. I like your choices of which days you will be visiting the parks.

I'm confused when you mention a "second MK" ticket. There aren't any "MK" tickets, there are WDW park tickets good for all the parks. So you're probably getting either a 4-day ticket or 5-day ticket. Note that a 5-day ticket is only about $10 more than a 4-day ticket. And note that a single MVMCP ticket is probably around $75? So it would be considerably cheaper to go to MK during the day on Dec 10 with 5th day of a 5-day ticket, and then skip the party and leave when the crowds start coming in at 4pm and have dinner at a resort.

^ yeah, second WDW* ticket haha

Yeah, that's the thing. I would LOVE to experience MVMCP, but the price is a little... uh. So that'll take a little convincing from my mom. But there's room for changing, we haven't bought our tickets yet because of that, specifically.

Thank you so much for all your help! (-:
