I have friends going with me on a ten day vacation but some of them are only needing two -three park hopper plus,. I know I can;t get that for them unless my reservation were for those few days and not any longer. They are interested in bidding for 2 day park hopper pluses on EBAY .....is this legitimate or is it a scam. I don't see how they could get these when Disney has the policies stated that transfered tickets are not valid. I know these could be bogus and the buyer would be stuck with having purchsed tickets that were no good and have little recourse because of Disney'rules. Anyone know if these tickets would be valid and if so Would you bid on them or would you find it risky. Any help would be appreciated as I know very little about Ebay .:wave2:

There shouldn't be a name printed on these passes so there's no way of Disney knowing whether they had been transferred. However , there is also no way to prove what is still left on these passes before you purchase them. I would NOT recommend buying park passes on ebay.

I wouldn't do it. There is no way to check the validaty of the tickets, since only Disney turnstiles can do that electronically. If you are buying the remaining 2 days of a 5 day hopper or hopper plus, you have to take the chance that the seller is being honest about the tickets. I guess I have been taken enough times on Ebay to be skeptical of these.

UMP's = Unlimited Magic Pass. This pass is only attached to a hotel reservation and is on a room key. If that is what they say it is, be very suspicious.

Some conventions sell 1 or 2 day park hoppers. It's possible someone didn't use them and are trying to sell them. They usually have an expiration date.

There is maybe no name printed on them, but the numbers and magnetic strip can tell Disney when and where the passes were purchased, when and where they were used, how they were paid for and a credit card number/ name if they were not bought with cash.
If the passes work, it's true that Disney may never have reason to look up all this information, but if there is any problem with the passes, they will.
Problems can happen even if the seller is honest; they might have thought there werre more days left than there actually are or maybe the magnetic strip got damaged. If that happens, you will definately be out the passes plus the money you paid for them since partially used passes are not tranferable.
They might actually be one or two day convention passes, like someone else mentioned, but a lot of people selling multiday passes post them as one or two day passes to get around ebay rules regarding selling partially used passes.
