2 day ticket credit applied to AP

Please let me know if this scenario will work. My AP expires 4/2021. I will let it expire. I have a 2 day park pass that I bought for my mom that we didn’t use due to the pandemic, which expires 9/2021. I use the credit from the 2 day pass to purchase a “new” AP in 9/2021 but don’t activate it until summer of 2022 when I plan to go again.

Well, in the past that would work. However APs aren't available to purchase "new" at this time so who knows -- by September hopefully they will be again.
