I have always purchased our tickets directly from Disney a week or two before our trips to Disneyland, but I'm probably going to buy 2 day park hoppers for our next trip and thought I might buy those plastic card tickets at either Target or the local grocery stores.

Do they print you out a paper ticket or do you use those as your ticket at the parks? Anything else I may not be aware of in purchasing these instead of the usual from Disney's website?

TIA!

Check the price of last minute travel. I think it’s less than target.

I do have a Red Card, so I'd get that discount, I *think*.

I know a lot of folks use LMT, but I'm not interested in doing so at this point. I was just asking about the logistics of the plastic card tickets.

Ok. But I did compare the 2 day tickets. With the red card they’re still less at LMT.

I have purchased tickets at Target with my RedCard and also through LMT (LMT is definitely cheaper). For both, they will be exchanged at the gate for a paper ticket.

I have bought them in March- two day park hopper tickets and the hard ticket that I bought from smiths is the actual ticket. Walk up to the entrance of either park and they scan and take your picture and hand back the same ticket-no exchange. Very easy. Have a great trip.

Thank you for the info!

Yes, when we used the hard plastic tickets from stores, you use that ticket.
