Hi

I am pretty sure I read somewhere that you can use 2 CS credits for a take away pizza? We are staying at POR if that makes any difference.

I did try to look it up but it was not very clear.

If you order the pizza from a resort food court (assuming the particular food court serves a large pizza) and either eat it there or carry it out with you, the cost is reportedly two CS credits, for which you get the pizza, two drinks, and two desserts.

Question.

Does anyone know if you can use one adult and one child credit for this?

I know they are all pooled together, but I also know they only let you use one adult credit if there is only one adult on the KTTW card.

Any idea?

I've heard that they need to be adult credits. If anyone knows if it will work for just an adult and child (that's all that's in my room) I would love to know.

Since you're talking about CS credits and they're all pooled together, you just pay with 2 CS credits. They're not designated as adult or child. The adult vs child credits are something you as an individual are responsible for tracking. Different people will tell you different things about how to track the child vs adult credits for the pizza and I don't know if Disney even has a take on it but since it comes with 2 full sized drinks and 2 regular desserts I'd say it seems like adult meals. But, if I only had 1 adult in my room I'd track it as 1 adult and 1 child CS credit.

I guess I will try. Last year I thought I couldn't do the Picnic in the Park at AK as I also only had myself and my niece (child).

Worst case they won't let me, but I will know for sure.

That's strange about picnic in the park. My understanding was that it was one of those meals where there were no kids meals available so kids credits were acceptable for it. I think you got a crabby CM who didn't understand the rules. Even Disney's own flyer about the DDP clearly says "where available" beside the kids' meal requirement. Picnic in the Park doesn't have a kids' meal available.

Thanks. I'm not really too worried about tracking it. They are pooled together and I will have credits left at the end.

I have been told that you can only use 1 adult credit at a time if there is only 1 adult on the KTTW card.

I assumed that is built into the software, so it would reject the meal automatically.
I can't imagine the CM would care or pay attention, but it would be a pain if after waiting for a pizza they told me no.

I’ll just go and see what happens, I was just wondering if anyone had done this.

When myself and DH went last year we one would go and order all the food and then just go and pay on the one card while the other got cutlery, napkins etc and not once did anyone ask either of us if it was adults or kids credits.

If you are worried about it just ask as has been said already they can only say no.

We are planning on just getting a pizza and taking it back to our room on the first night as we did last year so its good to know we can use credits for it.

The problem some of these posters are having is that there is only one adult and one child on their key card, not two adults, so they can't just go through the line if the CMs are paying attention to what's on the key card, like they are supposed to be doing. I'm not sure you will get that for a pizza as if you want a pizza meal for you and your child, there isn't a child's menu alternative to sharing a large pizza. I don't think that counts as breaking Disney's rule about the child credits but you could get a cashier who doesn't understand that. If you were ordering individual meals, then yes, you'd need to use the child's credit for the child's menu. Ask a cashier before you order the pizza, if you are worried it won't work - then if the cashier says you can do it, go to that cashier to pay.

Same thing for the (no longer offered) Picnic in the Park, there was no children's menu alternative for that meal.

OH sorry i totally did not realise it was separated like that. Hope my post has not caused any confusion. I have not travelled to the world with kids and so I'm not aware of how it all works from that point of view.

The credits aren't separated but the cashiers are supposed to pay attention to how many adults and children are on the key card. Again I don't think this applies to a large pizza. You should ask if you really want the pizza. I think you will be able to get it.
