We are going in September on the dining plan again and I was wondering if anyone had some thoughts to share on a favorite 2 credit meal.

We stay for 8 nights but arrived late on night one and leave early on day 8 so we end up with way too much food (too many sit down meals to schedule and we end up never hungry and have leftover CS credits.) This year I want to book at least one '2 credit' meal to free up some time and use up some credits. I just looked over all of the meals that use 2 credits and had no idea which one to choose.

We have already done all of the dinner shows and I don't think that is an option again. So what do you all think??? Any that are out for sure, any that are a must?

Thanks!:thumbsup2

Artist Point at WL is my fav. 2TS meal, followed by Jiko at AKL.

Are you getting the Free Dining deal? If so, take advantage of it and try more signature restaurants.
We won't be going during free dining period, but here's some of the places we will eating during our 8 nights in WDW.(7 nights Deluxe plan)
Lunch:
Tokyo Dining
50's Primetime
yak & Yeti
Teppan Edo
Kona Cafe
Coral Reef
Tutto Italia
Sci-fi

Dinner:
chef Mickey's
Jiko(2)
chef de France
Flying Fish(2)
Le Cellier
yachtsmen's Steakhouse(2)
Narcoosee's(2)
California Grill(2)

We are only have 2 meals per day. There's never a worry of over-eating ever. We space meal times to the max. Lunch is mostly by noon while dinner is never before 8pm.
I hope it helps.

Lunch:
Tokyo Dining
50's Primetime (a fun time for sure)
yak & Yeti (very unimpressed and was looking forward to it, bad service didn't help when I formed my opinion)
Teppan Edo (a lot of fun and the food was great)
Kona Cafe (BUSY and a BAD experience here messed everything up, but wouldn't mind trying again)
Coral Reef (menu had gone down hill since we ate there on our anniversary, but still a lot of fun and good food... the kids really enjoy this place)
Tutto Italia (haven't been since they changed the same, but ate at Alfredo's a few times and was always impressed)
Sci-fi (more fun for the kids and great desserts too

Dinner:
chef Mickey's
Jiko(2)
chef de France
Flying Fish(2)
Le Cellier (definitely good and the desserts are awesome, but the best steak I think I've ever had was down the street at UK
yachtsmen's Steakhouse(2)
Narcoosee's(2)
California Grill(2)

Thanks! Yea, we have the free dining for the 4th year in a row and we've tried all of the ones I've highlighted above plus of course a lot more.... ok now I went back and added some comments too.

Chef Mickey's is a must every year... just a tradition by now. We have to go, and we have to buy the picture. I actually have them all framed side by side on the wall, it's really cool to look at the changes through the years. And O'hana is quickly becoming a 'last night' tradition for us.

France and Mexico are the only to countries we haven't sat down to eat in. I may have to try France this year, but I've never heard too many great things about Mexico.

We pretty much do the 2 meals a day thing too, but even with that we are stuffed the entire time. If we do breakfast its usually just a snack credit, or we get one meal and the two little ones split it. Leaving 3 credits for lunch and the of course the dinner. But even with that (and again partially because of our travel plans) we end up sitting down while we are still hungry. The only thing I'm on the fence on is whether to do one or two 2 credit meals.... and then choosing which one to do!

Thanks mdrob214 those at first glance (and from my memory of what I have read on here in the past) were both on my short list.

We are doing CRT. A big plus is the tip is included on that one.

Your dilemma of too much food can be to your advantage. If you are going to share most of your CS for lunch, you will eventually have some leftover CS for dinners. Use and plan most(if not all) of your dinners at a few more signatures. Here's what I might do if I have 2 little ones and 8 nights DDP:
Do 3 Signatures dinner(6 TS for each person) and 2 1-TS dinners(O'hana and Chef Mickey's) With your little princesses or prince, CRT is a wonderful use of 2 TS(tips included) The rest of the meals will have to be Counter services.

Yea. The last couple of years there has been a postcard in our room when we check in saying "if you book for the same time frame next year from your room phone we will give you free dining next year." We always book it and hope we can make it. The only thing you need to do is put down a $200 deposit which is fully refundable for 10 1/2 months. Always seems like a no-brianer. Not much risk involved in booking it. One year I even had to move the date 1/2 way though the year and I didn't have an issue retaining the free dining.
