2 Castles, 2 Send out 2011 & Ring in 2012...12 Days of Christmas

It is Boo going...

Winnie the Pooh deserves a midnight showing...hee hee! But sadly I think all that would want to go will already be in bed fast asleep!

Whoops! Guess I got a little mixed up! Sorry I mixed up your kids! That's exactly what my parents said! Oh well...guess I'll have to go see it at a normal hour!

Easy to mix up!

Ab went and bought 2 Sarah Dessen books today to take with her on the bus this weekend for her trip! She says thanks for a new series to read. Have you read the Fable Haven Series or any of Rick Rjodaran's books (Percy Jackson...he has a great new egypt series and another mythology series started)?

You're welcome Ab! I haven't read the Fable Haven Series. Is it a series Ab is into? If so, I'll have to look for some of the books at the library! I've read the Percy Jackson books, the Lost Hero and the first book in the Egypt series by him, but I still have to finish the second. He's a great author too!

She really liked the Fable Haven Series...I believe it is by Brandon Mull.

Harry Potter Movie Marathon in full swing...settling in and watching Order of the Phoenix...will we get 2 more movies in before the midnight release tomorrow!

That's awesome!!!

I'm going to miss opening night and part of opening weekend.

I forgot that I was set to judge Friday evening, an hour away. Then, a wonderful gentleman that is really helping to further my photo judging reputation had to bow out of an event and asked me to fill in in his place... on Saturday.

It's going to drive me nuts!

Please don't take offense if I boycott your PTR until I can get to the theater!!

Have a great Potter-a-thon and enjoy 7 part 2!!!!

I'm pretty sure you can't start booking Candlelight Processional packages until July 26th

You will have to call again on the 26th and book the CP package then cancel your other ADR... The ADR that you have will not convert to the CP package. Hope this makes sense?

Yes...Tepan eddo is one of the CP choices!

Thank you both! I am going to check with DH on this and hopefully get the reservation on the 26th!

Oh my gosh you did great o the movie nights- once again, only this time my son was reading along with me and started making comments about "oh we're so going to make those on our peter pan night!" and "why didn't you do that for our stitch night?" I found some little treasure chests at Micheal's I'm going to use! :banana:they were in the $1 bins there- sometimes you can find the oriental trading stuff (or something similar) in the $1 bins- just a heads up if you have one near you because I'm not sure if they do online orders! I'm interested in your Harry Potter nights, I like them but my son's not crazy about them!

Sounds like everything is coming together very well for your trip!

Both my boys dislike reading. I would love for them to get excited about reading! Of course, the youngest is just learning to read, but the oldest only reads what's forced upon him at school.

Don't worry...no spoilers in my PTR! I probably will end up seeing the movie 3 times by Monday night...midnight release, then dh wants to go to the drive in and see Transformers & HP...then Monday night because Ab is begging to go as soon as she gets back from her trip!

Cool about the judging help...now if only I could get some camera setting help. My photography class was a bust last month, not enough people signed up so they dropped the class. :sad2:

The movie nights were fun in the mountains, I think I went over the top because of the cousins being there. Frankly, I am a little burned out with movies and movie nights...thank goodness we will not have time for any in the 2-3 weeks!

I love Micheal's...usually I can only find 1 or 2 things I am looking for...and when you have 3 it just does not work.

I am very lucky to have readers in my house. Ab would rather sit in her room and read all day long than do anything else...while I would like to take the credit as I read to her lots when she was little I have to credit her 3rd grade teacher who opened up the world of chapter books to her!

Boo has a love and hate relationship with books...he loves to read but it takes forcing a book on him to get him started...but once he starts a book he is hooked. I have to find good series for him to keep him reading.

I just really don’t care to much for this movie…but we sure had fun all day with the movie day.

Activity:

Merit Badge
Since Russell was working on his merit badge we decided that we would write the requirements to a merit badge, perform the requirements, and design our own merit badge…what a great activity to do while in the mountains!

Requirements (and pictures of us performing):

Since we were under a complete burn ban (all outdoor fires, grills and indoor fireplaces) we had to improvise a hot dog and marshmallow roast…how about over the hot plate on the stove?

Looks like lots of fun, even if you did have to improvise a way to cook the s'mores!

I liked the movie up, but found myself very bored during the ending (toward the end and back) and my son was the same way! But I liked the food and the way you improvised! Hope that the burn ban lets off soon and you get a good amount of rain! And I too go overboard when I have more kids to do it for! I wish I had more than one kid because I really slack on them!

Another wonderful movie afternoon!!

I enjoyed the movie Up, but Anakin hated it. He never cried so much in a movie before. He couldn't stand to see the animals abused by the villian.

No words can truly do justice to how I felt about this movie! For the book lovers...99% of it was spot on! A rare gift and treat when it comes to movie adaptations! It was the best of the series...I cried, I laughed, I cheered....and today I am TIRED...bittersweet!
