We are 6 able body adults (2 parents & 4 college students) staying in a cabin in July. Two questions: (1) will the one bathroom present a big issue in getting out early in the mornings? i.e. is it a small room? and (2) can we reasonably walk from cabin to bus stop and boat launch without taking the internal bus or having a golf cart.

1) the bathroom is a fairly normal size, actually bigger than our house's original bathroom. It does have a full size vanity and sink and a full tub.
2) the cabin loops are pretty far from the boat launch so it would be a trek. We took the internal buses. It is not so far to the Outpost Depot where you would catch the bus for HS,AK, etc. but it depends on what loop you are in.

We just left and we are 2 parents 5 kids (15,12,11,5,and 10 months). For us while we liked the atmosphere the one bathroom just did not work. The 3 oldest are girls so that may play into our issue. We made it work while there but all of us agreed we would rather stay at AOA with two restooms

We stayed in the cabins years ago and had similar issues sharing a bathroom.

My suggestion in that case is to request a cabin in loop 2200 near the entrance (which means it will have a low number like 2201, 2202, etc.). Send the kids across the road to use the Comfort Station between loops 1100 and 2100. Here is a map for reference:

It's really not as far as it looks and since your kids are old enough, if anybody's gonna be walking, it's gonna be them.

You can walk 2200 to Outpost in about 10-15 minutes to catch busses to the non-MK parks and 15-20 minutes to walk to the pier for the MK boats. We camp in loop 100/200 mostly so it's a short walk to the MK boats and we drive to the other parks (free). Will you have a car? Walk, wait for an internal bus, or pay thru the nose for a golf cart. We choose to walk. If you're going in July, you might want to wait for the internal bus for the MK days and drive the other days.

Will the one bathroom work for 6 able body adults? It could, but I am sure it will require planning. Me... I prefer an AM shower but can do a PM shower. My DW prefers a PM shower but can do an AM shower. Our kids pretty much all prefer a (well prefer might not be right, may procrastinate it until) PM shower. However, when my oldest DD gets in the Bathroom... she can take a while.

I like Ed's suggestion of loop 2200 and using the CS at the 1100 loop.

We have a descent size bathroom in our TT, but I still tend to use the CS to save time.

We were just there and split up the showering. Some at night, some in the am. There is a counter, mirror, and outlet in the bedroom so my teenage daughter could take all the time she needed for her hair and face without hogging the actual bathroom.

Thanks everyone. We will have a car but we really enjoy the boats so we'll take that to MK and drive to AK and EP

Plus don't forget the kitchen sink for tooth brushing, face washinb, etc.
