Hello: We spend most of our time at BCV and I would like them to offer studios with 2 queen beds rather than the queen and pull out. Anyone else feel the same way? Thanks

Since we are a single couple (for a little longer anyway) and our in-laws (also members) travel as a party of 2 we like having the queen and the sofa. It makes it feel less like a hotel room and more like a villa to us. Even when we have four in the room I still like the sofa because during the day it is a sitting area... I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but that is why I like the queen/sofa set up, I would be disappointed if it was 2 queens in the room.

I totally agree! I prefer the bed/sofa arrangement over a two-bed setup. I frequently travel solo, so a room with a sofa is best for me. If DH is "visiting," this works for him, too, as he likes to sit and read and relax. :sunny:

I agree also. We own at OKW, but had to stay at SSR recently because it had the only available studio. Lots of times we sat on the couch. At OKW, you watch tv in bed period. Or at the table. I liked sitting at the couch with a snack.

:) DH and I prefer the 1 queen with the couch. In fact, for our next trip to VB, DH asked that we go for a studio instead of the OV inn room because we do like to have a sofa to sit on and not watch TV as we sit bed.

Bobbi :)

For a family of 3 and 4, I agree that studios with two queen beds would be better. For just DH and I, I like the idea of the one bed and sofa. I guess it would be nice if the studios offered both options at each resort. This was definitely one drawback for us to reconcile before we decided to buy in. Our choice is a one-bedroom when we have more than two people but all of our family trips prior to DVC have been with 4-5 people in one deluxe room. Was it crowded? Maybe a little, but things worked out and we always had the best time.

I wish OKW would make some studios with a queen and a sofa. I know that won't happen, but I do hope in any new DVC resorts they make more options available in the studios/second BR. Having 2 queens, a queen with a sofa and a queen with bunkbeds. I know that is just too many options but if it were a wish list that would be my vote.

We just stayed in a studio at OKW and even though I loved the resort, it was a bit cramped. We did have 4 people though. I think when we stay there again with 4 or less I will book a 1 bedroom for the extra room. :sunny:

We're a family of 5 and we love the studio with the couch. I hate typical rooms where you have no place to sit - especially after a long day like at Disney.

Thankfully we just went on the lat trip where we could "get away" with a studio since youngest DS is only 2. From now on we'll have no choice but to book 2 bedrooms so if they do change the studio layouts it won't bother us at all - lol :)

Another vote for 2 queens. Sometimes I stay with a friend and it's much better. Even with DH, quite happy with 2 queens, although most of all, we do prefer an OKW 1 bedroom ;)

Not us! We prefer the studio with a sofa. I've stayed at OKW a couple if times and did NOT like two beds in the room. We prefer having a place to sit and read or watch television.

If you have more than two people, or two people who are not going to sleep in the same bed, the two queens set up is unambiguously preferable since the sofa beds are still not yet an excellent substitute for a real bed.

I think the sofa, which makes a sitting area, is what really makes the villas a Studio.

With two Queen beds, it becomes just a fancy Hotel Room.

I agree! I like having the sofa instead of a 2nd bed.

We like the sofa too. Sleeping on it though can be a "pain". I suggest, if you need to use the sofa as a bed, bringing or purchasing at the local Walmart an air mattress. They work wonders for the comfort level :thumbsup2

Couldn't care less. If I need two beds I can book at OKW.

They'd never be able to get two queen sized beds in the other studios.

LOL! I agree. If you need 2 beds, then book at OKW. If you need one bed and sofa to SIT on, book one of the other 4 DVCs.
