I was just wondering if someone could clarify the bathroom situation in 2BR villas.... am i seeing this correctly?

In OKW, is the master bath shared with the rest of the villa while the "guest" bedroom has their own private bathroom? When I watch videos online and look at floor plans, this seems to be the case...I would have thought that the people staying in the master should have the private bath?

If this is the case of the 'master bath' being the community bath, are their other resorts that share this feature?

At OKW they added a door through the laundry room to the toilet section of the bathroom in the Bldg at Turtle Pond and South Point (plus the three newer buildings with elevators). So buildings numbered 30 or higher.

BWV, VWL, SSR and BCV all have the toilet area accessible from the living space in the two bedroom (and one bedroom) villas. The second bedroom is either a studio (all second bedrooms at BWV and all lockoffs at VWL, BCV and SSR), so the bathroom is inside the room or similar to a studio without the kitchenette.

BLT and AKV-KV have an extra bathroom at the entrance to the villa in one bedroom and larger.

When a villa is only one bedroom, the guests sleeping on the sleeper sofas and sleeper chairs share the master bath except for KV and BLT where there is an extra bathroom at the entrance.

The difference between the one bedroom and two bedroom layout is just the addition of the extra space for a second bedroom or connection to a studio for a lockoff. No changes to the layout of the original one bedroom portion.

I can't help you with HHI, VB, GCV, Aulani or GFV. But I don't think GFV has the extra bathroom either.

Hey thanks so much!! One other questions for you though...you said that buildings above 30 at OKW have the added door...but what about buildings under 30?

Its kind of a bummer that the person sleeping in the living area has no bathroom and has to share with the master but im completely confident this wouldnt ruin anyones trip lol! I just wouldve figured the shared bathroom would be with the guest room and not the master!

Buildings under 30 only have one entrance to the master bath - thru the master bedroom. This means all of the guests sleeping in the living area have to enter the bathroom thru the master bedroom.

Having the shared bath with the second bathroom would only work in a dedicated two bedroom. Lock-off two bedroom units can be booked as a studio, a one bedroom or a lock-off. If the unit is booked as a one-bedroom, the bathroom for the living area has to be shared with the master bedroom.

I like the larger villas at BLT and Kidani Village which have an extra bathroom in the living area which solves all of the shared bathroom woes.

We love all of the space OKW 2 br villas offer, especially the kitchen, but we prefer the features and layout of AKV-KV 2 br units. The fact that there are 3 full bathrooms is a huge plus (2 full baths in a 1 br). BLT offers the same, but AKV takes fewer points!

If you have a two bedroom villa, you can have the guest sleeping in the living room use the bathroom in the second bedroom if you like. But if you have a one bedroom villa, there is only one bathroom.

The design was modified on the buildings numbered 30 and higher which added the door in the laundry room to give another entrance into the bathroom. So less than thirty there isn't an entrance through the laundry room and they have to go through the bedroom.
