2 bedroom less points then studio + 1 bedroom?

I am not sure if this has to do with new 2016 point allocations but didn't a 2 bedroom equal the same points as booking a studio and a non adjoining one bedroom in the past?

I am asking because I am having issue booking a HA 2 bedroom with the configuration I need at AKV. The 2 bed is 192 points. So I figured I would book a ha studio for my brother and a reg 1 bed for us but the points are 220 something. I checked online and called ms. The cm had no idea why so I thought someone here could help. Tia!

Oh ok, I guess I haven't booked a 2 bedroom or looked into one in a while.

Since DVC's inception in the early 1990's, the 2BRs have always been fewer points than the total points for a studio and 1BR in the same booking category.
