Hi,
We are owners for VDH and want to plan an 8 or 9 night spring break trip at WDW. End of March into the first week of April in 2027. Easter will be March 28th that year so I’m pretty sure our dates will be 3/25-4/3.

At 7 months I’m positive that we won’t have trouble getting a 2 bedroom at OKW or SSR. My husband is against a split stay which means we already have the odds stacked against us. I’m having a hard time finding out what are odds are for other resorts around that time frame.

My dream resort is the Polynesian. I just don’t know if around that time of year if it would be available. We do have the points to book 2 rooms. We are saving our 2026 points to combine it with 2027.

I’ve heard that unless I’m an owner that Beach Club, Boardwalk, Copper Creek and Boulder Ridge won’t happen at 7 months. I’m open to BLT and Kidani. The only resorts I’ve stayed at prior to owing DVC was All Star Movies (one and done for us) POFQ (love it) and SSR. I just know want to have unrealistic expectations of what is bookable around a popular time like Easter/Spring break. Any advice?

I’ve stayed spring break at Poly in a std deluxe studio in the longhouse for a whole week last year. This year we stayed in 2 bdrm dedicated at BRV. Booked both at 7m at exactly 8am. Really love both resorts. My sp break is the week prior. If yours is during Easter, the availability might be more difficult, idk. Next year kidani might be under refurbishment during that time but I’m not sure if the expected timeframe.

2-bedrooms at Polynesian only exist in the new tower which is only a few months old, so tough to predict 7 month availability. Assuming you aren't talking about the bungalows on the water, anyway.

Lots of resorts book up for Easter, it's a very busy time for WDW. So you may be stuck with Saratoga, tbh. As you probably know it is also the highest points season of the year.

I would say book what you can get at 7 months, and waitlist what you really want. There is a lot of shuffling that happens at the 7 month window so you never know, it may come through.

We have enough points to book 2 deluxe rooms in the main building. Not the tower. I saw the point chart for the tower and I was like no way. lol

The issue with the Polynesian's newest building's 2BRs is that the building is still developing its reservation patterns, and as to what will be available at 7-months out for Easter time in 2027 would be anyone's guess. Just note, however, and contrary to what is suggested above, that time of year has actually not been among the highest DVC demand times at WDW, e.g., the high-demand DVC fall season -- late Sep to marathon weekend in Jan -- makes Easter week look like an off-season. BCV will probably be unavailable, but decent chances may exist for a a dedicated 2BR at BRV, BLT lake view, CCV, AKV Kidani savanna view, and possibly even VGF. The original Poly studios have often been open during that time at 7-months out, although past patterns may not be reliable simply because the new building owners can now reserve those studios.

It’s the 8-9 nights in a row that will be a deal breaker at almost every resort.

You would have a lot better chance with 1BD’s or a split stay, but you probably already know that.

I’ve been keeping a close eye on SSR and OKW and the 2 bedrooms have available bookings for next month even. Doesn’t seem like they book up until the last moment. Maybe 3-4 weeks ahead. If worst comes to shove we will do the resort that gives us the most days. We come from the west coast and loose a day of travel on each end of our trip.

Which resort would you recommend?

Historical data regarding availability. If you are wanting a 2br, the dedicated ones should be available at 7 months during that time, except maybe BCV. The lock offs will be a little harder to get, but still probably doable.

I'm not sure where you got that advice on none of the ones you listed as not being there at 7 months, but its pretty inaccurate. BRV is probably the easiest one to get with a 2br dedicated. I'd just look at the tables to get an idea and get a gameplan list of what you want to shoot for at 7 months, try with 2 Poly longhouse studios if that is what you really want, then go to say a BRV 2 bed dedicated, once you have something booked, put in waitlist to try for something else if you want.

And yea as pointed out already that time is not actually a big hard to get season, it happens to be the worst time to go as far as point cost as it is included in the highest point season along with Christmas week. Disney as a whole is busy at that time, but not so much for DVC really compared to the fall.

None of those tables show 8-9 nights of availability, they all cap out at 7 days.

OKW, SSR, and AKV are why I said almost all.

For 8-9 nights I’d consider trying to rent out your points here on Dis and then renting the points for where you want to stay to get home resort advantage.

That's a reasonable thing to do if this is a heart-set-on-it trip. But, if it is "let's see what happens and cross our fingers" I'd just book it internally. Renting is a fair bit of work, and includes a bunch of friction in the form of taxes.

Any of those I listed would be fine, although I avoid VGF simply because of the high point cost per night. My preferences of those I listed are Kidani or BLT 2BRs (and request Sunset savanna view at Kidani and higher floor at BLT) because (a) the 2BRs are larger than the ones at BRV, and CCV has the smallest 2BRs of the group, (b) both BLT and Kidani 2BRs have a third bathroom, and (c) both Kidani and BLT have the extra pull-out-from-a- large-chair almost twin size bed in the living room in addition to the the pull-out queen from a couch. Nevertheless, Widerness Lodge (which has CCV and BRV) is one of my favorite resorts and has the most impressive lobby area of all resorts.
