on our last trip we used a 2 bedrm villa and after that trip I saw someone on the boards saying you would use less pts getting two studios rooms.
It would be myself the Dad and my 3 daughters youngest to be 22 at the time
fresh outta kollege;). my older twins slept together in the master suite, and
my youngest and myself had our own twin beds. I owned and go to Beach Club and was curious, if I'm missing anything, if I choose to get two studios.
we didn't use the kitchen, but hung out in the living room. I can add an
extra day to the stay with the pt savings.

does BCV have twin beds in all their studios?

are any studios connecting rooms?

how is DVC in giving you rooms that are close, if requested?

anything I might be missing, either good or bad?

thanks

There are no studios that connect to another studio. They will only connect to a 1-bedroom to make a 2-bedroom lock-off.

OKW is the only resort that has 2 queen beds in all the studios, all others have a queen bed and a sleeper sofa. There are some unique room configurations at BCV, but I'm not sure what they are.

If two studios are booked under the same travel plan number, the resort will try to assign them as close together as possible.

You will save a boatload of points if you book 2 studios instead of a 2 bedroom. You and "Dad" can be in one studio and your kids in the other. There will be a queen sized bed in the studio plus a double sized fold out couch.

The downsides are: (1) Less room than a 2-bedroom, (2) no king sized bed, (3) no kitchen, (4) no laundry in the room and (5) no common area to hang out. The other possible disadvantage is that you can't get connecting studios and, although we have had good luck, they may not be really close.

ETA: We usually stay in studios :).

It is a personal decision, and yes you would save about 80 points on a 7 night stay. You may not be near each other and you do lose a lot of space and the kitchen. We utilize the kitchen to its fullest so I can never see booking 2 studios over a 2 bedroom, but that is us. We also like to spend time at the resorts (more time at the resort then the park) so common area is important. Good luck with your decision.

The plus side if two studio if stay other than BLT and Kidani is you will have two bathrooms, even if you lose the kitchen.

For use I would still prefer the 2 bedroom as I like the big tub for soaking the aching feet.

All 2 bedrooms have 2 baths so you are not gaining anything BLT and AKV have 3!

When we take our adult children and their spouses (that's 11 of us total), we usually get 5 studios instead of getting a Grand villa or 2 2 bedrooms. We don't cook and we have found, after doing several stays in the bigger villas, that we like that separation at the end of every day.

I'd choose the 2 bedroom, but if you're used to staying in studios and don't mind not having the kitchen, washer/drier, and living room, you can save points with 2 studios.

When we have a group, I really like to have one 2 bedroom for the living/gathering space. At vb I'll book a BC when I can. I understand a couple's needs for privacy and book studios for most of our guests, but we don't see our DGC's family nearly enough to get too much of them, and they us, when we're on vacation!
