2 AP discounts, 2 rooms

I think I understand that you can no longer book multiple rooms with one AP (for the AP discounted room rates). So... DH and I both have APs. My sis and her boyfriend do not and they will be with us for our April 2010 trip. Can I just reserve one room in my name and one in my husbands name and then just have my sister and DH switch room keys. If my sister's park tickets are not attached to her KTTW card, this shouldn't be a problem, correct? I'm not trying to cheat the system, but if we have 2 APs, why shouldn't we be able to book 2 AP discounted rooms?

This is so confusing! My sis and her BF will probably not be returning to Disney within the year, so it really doesn't make sense for them to buy an AP if we can avoid it. If not, I will pay the extra $240 or so to get her an AP (10day PH + WP vs. AP & 2 out of pocket WP visits).

In a related question. If my sis did have an AP and she wanted to treat her boyfriend to water skiing or parasailing at Sammy Duvall's but she herself did not want to parasail - can she purchase this for him as a gift or something?

TIA!

This is possible. BUT, neither could charge to their room on their keys. Nor could you have a dining plan (not a loss, imho, especially with the TiW card). Also, they'd have to have their assigned key when doing EMH in the park.

I haven't tried to book multiple rooms with my AP, but are you sure you can't? We changed our adult trip to a family trip and had to switch resorts because of it; we were booked AKL CL, but that doesn't fit 5 people. The CM offered to just book me adjoining rooms.

If you do decide to buy your sis an AP, quite frequently the discount more than covers the cost of the AP.

Can't help with the parasailing question. My gut says no, but it could be way wrong.

Ugh. I thought about the dining plan issue (not using it) and the charging issue (no biggie we'd all just pay with credit cards). But I did not think of the emh issue. I am still not sure it would be an issue. Regular park tickets that you buy at say, the disney store are not associated with a name and I don't even think the finger scan has a name associated with it. Just as long as you have the same ticket that you use each time.

I don't like where I'm headed with this and it actually bothers me, but it seems like a loophole to emh. I'm not sure I can do that in good conscienceeven though the room key holder IS staying on property it just feels wrong.

I called about booking 2 rooms on my AP and was told I could do it. I booked and paid for both rooms so that may be the difference. You may have to book and pay for both rooms.

I know a lot of people say you can only book one room but I think it depends on the agent that you get when you call.

Just so you know, EMH has *nothing* to do with your ticket. It's all about your RESORT KEY, which will have your name on it. It's your proof that *you* are a resort guest. Not that they ask you for ID and your resort key, but a man with a woman's name and vice versa would be a problem.

I currently have two rooms booked with my AP. 1 at ASMo for my in-laws and 1 at AKL for myself, DW and DD4 (soon to be 5:cloud9:) for our trip in December. At ASMo it's me, MIL and FIL. At AKL it's me, DW and DD.
