The Plaza-Dinner

We arrived in Orlando around 3pm, after a long traffic jam. We were staying off-site this one night. We got to the Magic Kingdom around 4:30pm. We had a 6:30pm reservation, but by 5:00pm we were starving. So we decided to check-in early (this would become a trend). They told us we still might have to wait until 6:30pm but decided to check-in anyway. In about 3 minutes our name was called and we were seated.

To Drink, I had an Unsweetened Tea and FH had an Orange Soda.
To eat I had a BLT. It's what I always order. This time I was disappointed in it as it just came on small white sandwich bread, not the multi-grain that it always has in the past. For $8.99 it seems a bit much to spend for this sandwich.

FH had the chicken sandwich, after a recommendation from a friend. He said it was good, but not amazing as it was described as. He had the broccoli slaw, but didn't like it. I gave him my fries and I ate his slaw.

Food: 4 of 5 (other then a small sandwich it was all great, as always)
Service: 3 of 5 the server was a bit slow with refills.
Overall: 4 of 5 this is a place we always visit on our arrive day, and we will continue to. I just may claify that I want my blt on the multi grain and FH will order The Club.

Coral Reef-Lunch

We had a 12:45pm at 11:45am we were starving. So we tried to check in early. They told us that we wouldn't be allowed to check-in until 12:45pm. So, we went and got a snack and rode several of the attractions on that side of Future World. We went to use our Soarin' fastpasses and didn't get out of there until 1:00pm. We rushed over to Coral Reef and checked in. We were seated in about 10 minutes. (We realized the reason we couldn't check in early, is because this place is so small and they have no tables for 2.)

We were seated and our overwhelmed server came and greeted us and took drink orders. I ordered an Unsweet tea, and FH had a sprite, I think.

For our appitizers:
I had the Caesar Salad. which was a bit different then I thought it would be.

FH had the Land and Sea. He really enjoyed it. He didn't like the beds that the items were on, but he did enjoy it.

For our Entrees:
I had the steak (I don't eat seafood) I had it well done (the only way I eat red meat, if there is no red) It was good. I was sad to learn that they no longer had broccolinni so I had mashed potatoes instead.

FH had the special of the day. I think it was Tilapia, but I don't remember. He really liked it, and was glad he ordered it.

For Dessert:
I had the Chocolate Wave:

FH had the creme brulee that was added to the holiday menu. He loved it.

Food: 3.5 of 5 While our entrees were great, and FH like his appi and dessert. Mine were only okay.
Service: 4 of 5 while our server started off looking overwhelmed once she came back with drinks, she was great, you couldn't even tell she had another table.
Overall 4 of 5. FH likes it here, and I think it's okay. We'll only go if we're on the dining plan, as it's a bit more then we'd like to spend out of pocket for a restaurant.

I JUST LOVE the photos.......those are great and I am now starving......Thanks for taking the time to let us peek at your meals...

Looking forward to more - thanks for taking the time to share your reviews!

Your reviews are great! Where did you go for NYE? We're thinking about doing NYE in DHS next year. Did they have special events going on? Thanks for the info!

We went to DHS, and hated it. 3 years ago we thought it was the best place for NYE, but there just isn't enough to do to be there all day, and the crowds were a lot bigger this year then in years past (I have no idea what recession people keep talking about) FH and I decided a few days after we got back, that even though we love Disney at Christmas time, it's not worth fighting with the crowds. If you're going to be at Disney for NYE go to the Magic Kingdom. It's wonderful, yes it's crowded, but no one is drinking, and the fireworks are amazing. The fireworks at Studios felt like I was here in Atlanta watching them. Just plain nothing special about them.

Good to know! Thanks again for the info. I'm looking forward to your other reviews!

Teppan Edo-Dinner

We had a 7:30pm Reservation, but as usual we were hungry around 6:45pm. We were in Germany so we just took the short walk over to Japan and checked in early, see the trend. We were seated around 7:30pm, with a family of 3 and a family of 4 who only spoke Japanese. I assumed that being a party of 2 we'd sit on one end, but the two kids went running for those seats. I started to freak out, There were 5 adults across the middle, and I'm a bit claustrophobic, and didn't eat much until the family of 3 next to us left and I was able to move. Our chef was great.

For Appetizers:
I had the Edamame. I love this stuff. If I could easily get it I would eat it all the time.
100_2469.jpg

FH had the salad.
100_2468.jpg

For Entrees:
I had the Steak and Chicken
FH had just the Steak.
Something we noticed, you get the same amount of steak if you get it with or without the Chicken.

For Dessert:
We had soft serve ice cream...for a photo go to your local soft serve place and look :rotfl:

Our Volcano:
100_2472.jpg

Food:
4 of 5...FH was great. Mine was bit cold, but since I had to wait for people to leave, that's my own fault.
Service:
4.5 of 5...The service is always great here. The only problem was I ran out of white sauce, but FH doesn't use it so he just gave me his.
Overall:
4.5 of 5...Other then being traped between FH and some guy I didn't know. It was great. We'll go back for sure. I may just see if there's a way to get an end seat.

Crystal Palace-Breakfast

I'll start this off with we always go here. I'm not a big breakfast eater, but I love Piglet (and now it's the only place to find him) and FH loves the puffed french toast.

I had grits and biscuits with gravy.
100_2488.jpg

FH had a ton of stuff, this is just 1 of his plates.
100_2490.jpg

Service here is really on or off. Today it was off. I was bit sad.

Food:
5 of 5...FH said it was the best Puffed French Toast he's had (we've eaten here 10 times or so)
Service:
3 of 5...had to ask for refills and was over zellis (sp) to take plates.
Overall
4 of 5...We'll be back for sure.
