Last year we went in a group of four adults and we got some interaction i.e. straws and napkins thrown at us but nothing over the top. You'll be surprised when you get there and see everyone else participating by how much fun it is to be a kid again. Before you know it you'll be twirling your napkin above your head!! Don't let the antics stop you from going. The food is worth it.
I am not very interested in the "shenanigans" that take place. If we are just two adults with no kids, will we be spared the antics or will we need to sit and "take it?"
I wouldn't count on it...it's pretty much anything goes. If it's that much of a concern to you, there are other places with good food and no "shenanigans" to accompany the meal.
Look at it like this. The food is good and most of the time they will pretty much leave you if it's obvious that you are not into it. That being said they will still maintain their characters throughout the dinner. I don't like care for the for waiters messing with me too much, but I still get a smile out of the kind of things that they do. Whatever you do though, do not wear a shirt with an American flag on it. You will wind up standing on top of a chair with the entire restaraunt saluting you while saying The Pledge of Allegiance and singing the Star Spangled Banner.
DH and I went last trip and really enjoyed it. We are both kind of shy and our waitress picked up on that. She made us laugh a few times, but we were never forced to do anything and we weren't embarassed at all.
We have went several times and just asked for a "quiet table" or just told our server that we just wanted a quiet dinner. It worked fine. And yes the food was good.
When DH and I went to WCC during our honeymoon they actually took us straight out to a little "patio" type area that was no where near the antics in the main dining room. THere were several tables out there and it was all groups of adults only. The arear was nice and quite but DH and I wanted to be part of the fun so we asked to be seated in the main dining room. So if it is just two adults they may seat you away from everything anyway but I would say just ask to be seated in a quite section and I'm sure they will accomodate you.
Thanks for the tips! I will ask about the patio. We can both take a joke though, so I'm sure we'll be fine... I just don't want to have a server who is "over the top"... but I guess that's the point! We'll have fun either way.
I didn't find this place to be that wild. Now if you ask for ketchup yu are probably going to get several, but other than that you are probably not going to be bothered that much. We really enjoyed the food.
