We are hopefully going to DLRP in Nov this year but our friends have 3 kids (2 boys and 1 baby girl).

Initially thought about Sequoia Lodge as we stayed there last year and it was great....but....I dont think our friends will be able to stay in 1 room?

Is there anywhere anyone would suggest.....i thought perhaps Davy C Ranch?

You'll certainly be able to stay at Davy Crockett's, although the set up is 1 room with bunkbeds, 1 double bedroom and a pull out sofa in the lounge.
I believe you can stay at Explorers too.

so would they be able to take their own travel cot and set it up in one of the rooms? Or isnt there enough space?

If they had a 2 bed, the travel cot would fit in the lounge but not either of the bedrooms I'm afraid.

We've being staying at the DC for years.

6 of us (2 adults, 4 children), and we generally book the 1 bedroom to save some money.

Although they're 1 bedroom, they're still designed to sleep 6. TBH, after a long day at the park, our kids usually end up crashing together on the double bed settee in the lounge, in front of the disney channel....

No guarantee, but they often upgrade you to a 2 bedroom anyway.

Regardless, I now make a point of asking for a recently refurbished one when we book, as some of them are a little worse for wear (and that's quite an understatement!).

If you do get a very shabby one, ask to be moved, or take pics like I did and then complain later....free holiday :cool1:

Otherwise it's a great place to stay. The breakfast is very nice, you'll save some money having the cooking facilities, and the pool is excellent!

They supply a nice travel cot free of charge on request. You may have to say goodnight in the lounge, as opposed to the bedroom, but they won't be far away ;)

The Marriot Village (a couple km away) has 2 and 3 bedroom villas, which are very reasonbly price I'm led to believe (200 Euro a night)

I've not stayed there myself though.

How old is the baby girl. If she is under 3yrs then they will be able to stay in any hotel as they will provide a cot for you.

Your options onsite if she is older are DCR, Explorers, Newport Bay Admiral Suite (limited no. of rooms) and although expensive DLH do rooms for 5 now.

There's always the offsite options, we are a family of 5 and last time at DLP stayed at Pierre & Vacances. now called Adagio City Aparthotel which is within walking distance of the parks.

This year we're staying at Explorers.

Hope you sort something out:goodvibes

we are staying here in Aug :)

did you walk then? as opposed to using the shuttles ?

did you find the accom ok?

we have 3 kids and we are staying at explorers . your friend my love that set up as there is a seperate cabin with bunks for the boys and the baby girl can stay in the main room with them

It is 3 years in August since we stayed there. The accommodation was good, some areas were perhaps in need of a lick of paint! but I was quite happy there.

we had a small lounge/diner/kitchen with sofa bed, toilet and bunk room on one floor. Upstairs was a double room and bathroom and small balcony.

Our room was on the front of the hotel and we overlooked DLP - could see Newport Bay, BTMR and the spire of the castle, we watched the fireworks from our balcony one night.

Opposite the hotel was a dirt track which led direct to the village - it took about 20 - 25 mins to walk and that was with 3 children the youngest being 4 at the time. The shuttle buses were very infrequent so we felt it was our best option.:goodvibes

thanks ,we might walk there and get the shuttle back then :)

will need the exercise to work off all those lovely meals ! lol

How old is the baby girl? If she still fits in a travel cot, you wld (or shd) still be able to stay at Sequoia? The boys can sleep in one bed and the travel cot can fit in between both beds (you'd have to move one of the beds a bit but there is room) and it can also act as a bedguard (if the boys still need a bedguard). That's what we did the 1st time we were there (we have 2 kids, so DD slept on one bed and DS was in travel cot at the time).
