I just wanted to do a wrap-up on our learnings from our 2/99 trip, most of which we used on our 9/00 trip.

2 1/2 years old was a great age to bring our son. Yes, we didn't do a ton of attractions, but we really enjoyed what we did do. His reaction to nearly everything we saw and did was fantastic for us to see. Plus, he had free admission to the parks and was free at the buffets/character meals. If you have a fun-loving toddler, I highly recommend taking him/her at this age--it's a deal!

Never bring an umbrella stroller for a child this age! They need a stroller you can recline in case they fall asleep.

If not renting a car, getting a towncar with a grocery stop is a must. Mears was O.K. on this trip, but we found Disney prices tough to take 24/7. The grocery stop is invaluable especially if you like beer.

All the resort food courts have microwave ovens you can use to heat up things for your kids.

Disney resorts are fabulous! The parks are why you go, but staying at their resorts is such a nice way to vacation.

We can't do the parks 3 days in a row. We were worn-out and overstimulated by the third day, so on all future trips, we will schedule days just to hang out at the resort in between park touring days.

For the above reason, park hopper passes are the way to go. We bought 5-day passes for this trip, used only 3 days and had 2 days for our 9/00 trip.

These are the most important lessons learned, plus finding our way around using Disney transportation.

Thanks for reading.

Thanks for Posting. How was your 9-00 trip? Where did you stay? Once again I enjoyed reading your reports, they had a lot of nice detail in them!

Nuts4dzny, thank you for your kind responses.

If you look around page 58 on the Trip Reports Board, you'll find my trip reports on the 9/00 trip. They're titled, "Our Many Adventures at WDW."

I hope this works on your computer. Searching under my username probably won't be the best way to find them because I'm a prolific poster.

Thanks, I will do that! We are sort of neighbors! I live 10 miles West of A.C. I will look up your other reports! :D

These are great tips, JJ.

I read all of your trip reports and enjoyed each one. I'm very glad you took the time to write and post them, because I had a lot of fun reading.
