2 8am Breakfast PS ...transportation

We are staying at SOG and have 2 early morning breakfast PS.

The first one will be Animal Kingdom Breakfasaurus. We will have our own rental car and plan on driving from SOG our resort. Will we be able to get into Animal Kingdom parking lot this early - it is not an EMH morning. The park will open at 9


The second one will be at Magic Kingdom for Crystal Palace. I think we will walk over to the Poly from SOG and catch the monorail to the MK. Do you think this will work as well. it is again not an EMH morning so the park doesn't open until 9

You should be fine for Crystal Palace, but I've read several reports of people being held at the parking gate at AK and not being able to get in in time for the earlier PS. Is it a long walk to the Poly? Why don't you walk there for the AK PS as well, and take the early AK bus that they run specifically to get people to charater meals?

What time will the bus leave the Poly for AK 8am PS ? This all gets soooo confusing !!

I asked this exact question at the Transportation board last week. Tyler, a Disney bus driver and guru-of-all-things-transportation-related, indeed confirmed that they do not let people into AK's parking lot in time for the earlier PSs. He said to be at the bus stop 45 minutes in advance of your PS time. There are special character breakfast buses running. Heck, here's a link to the thread

I do not think making the CP PS will be a problem at all. The resort monorail starts running at 7:30ish, I believe.

You will love the 8:00 Donald's at AK DS loves it. Yes! take the WDW bus to AK!!

We had 8:20am PS for AK last year and we drove our cars instead of taking Transportation. We got held up at the gates and were late to our PS. I was not happy with the staff, since they were just standing there goofing around, while we all wanted to get in for our PS's.

Maybe I will cancel our breakfast afterall. I can handle leaving SOG by 7am one day and walking over to the Poly to catch a bus , but not so sure I want to do it two days in a row. Why do they have to make it so complicated ?!

If you made it for later rather than at opening, maybe AK wouldn't be such an early day for you. Donald's is fun
