I just read on another thread that the dining rotations just may be on our KTTW cards. I know it wasn't on ours last cruise. I guess I'm just behind in the times. Would you believe I am STILL trying on clothes for this *million days* cruise. You would think we were leaving for months....my DD has had her share of fashion shows...(as I sit here stuffing my face with popcorn!)

It is soooooo cold here. Someone please pay the heat bill and turn up the thermostat already!!!!

Does anyone know what channel the travel channel is on AT&T cable in the Seattle area. I have wanted to watch several of the shows re; WDW and DCL but cannot locate the darn channel.

Can you guys believe it is only two weeks until we cruise?!?!

My DW thinks I'm nuts. I have taken over the spare bedroom and have our luggage all over and have begun packing. I'm trying to pack light but we are going to be on holiday for 20 days and on the ship for 14 of those days. I guess I am going to just have to bring some quarters and plan on doing laundry Not the favourite thing to do on holiday but hopefully we will be able to stay on board between cruises and we can do our laundry then.

I am looking forward to meeting on board and getting together. My DW and I seem to get really shy for some reason and don't seem to meet many more people than our tablemates. My New Year's resolution was to be more forward in reaching out to meet people so watch out once we get on board. You propably won't be able to get me to shut up.

My DW and I are getting into MCO at 7:30 am on the 8th so we have decided to rent a car and drive out to the port. We are going to stop and pick up some beer, soda, and snacks. If there is anything that I can pick up for anyone please let me know and I will do my best.

I thought I would provide a little background on my DW(Janelle)and myself (Michael). I am 31 years and an avid Mickey Mouse/Walt Disney fan (some say obsessed). I am the office manager for a large motorcycle dealership called Lynnwood Cycle Barn. I am attending college at night working towards my BA in Business with a minor in history. My DW works for AT&T Wireless as coordinator of their legal department. She is slightly less obsessed than I when it comes to Disney. I would have all things Disney and she insisted (the nerve) that we have one room in our house Disney free.

We have two dogs, a Toy Fox Terrier, Kiara, and a Chihuahua, Tinkerbell. We also have a Tabby cat, Gert. Our other two babies is our horses, Star, a Blue Roan and Roo, a Palomino. That is all the babies right now but we are hoping to get pregnant real soon. Maybe we will bring a souvineer home

We live just north of Seattle in Everett, WA but will be selling our house when we get back from holiday and moving in with my mother-in-law so that we can build our house next year. My DW has lived in this area all her life. We are building our house on a piece of property next to her grandparents. My father was in the Marines so I have lived all over.

Told you I wouldn't shut up once started. I sure can get to just rambling can't I. Anyway, two weeks!! Woo Hoo!!

I love that commercial about DCL with the woman in the elevator. Everyone keeps teasing us about going on the cruise and ending up with a souvenir of our own

Welcome to this crazy group of castaways Michael and Janelle. Don't worry about shyness....it will all go away once on board and the excitement takes over. (and over....) We plan on having a ROTFALYBO time. Let me know if you need the deciphering.
I filled out our cruise docs tonight. I even checked off the box for form of payment.......(uh, you don't take green stamps???) as cash/travelers checks. I want to be debt free when we get off the boat. This will keep me disciplined..I PAROM-issss. That is until I get to the islands and SHHHOOOPPIINNGGG.

Hey Michael, this is Patty in Portland. Interestingly enough my husband Scott races motorcycles at PIR. (That's the local race track in Portland) Last year he got 1st place overall in his category for the first time ever-that was fun. I am a history buff myself and volunteer at a couple historic sites in Oregon City. I have a video tape I recorded over the period of a few weeks that have all the travel channel shows about disney, except for the recent one on cruises. It's got Behind the Scenes at WDW, Animal Kingdom, Orlando Short List, and a tour of St. Maarten. If you are interested I'd be happy to send it to you. We leave this Wed. and if I'm not too frantic getting ready I could drop it in the mail for you. The cover has some water damage but the tape itself is in good shape. Hi everyone!

Laura-most times we think that Tinkerbell has a set of horns rather than wings. She is only 8 months old and she is a terror. Poor Kiara, our Toy Fox Terrier, who is 4 years old cannot seem to catch a break.

Andi-just a Sportster? Well, maybe when Janelle let's me get one. It is funny but now that I work for a shop that sells dirt bikes, motorcycles, snowmobiles, and jet skis I got rid of all mine. I'm still not sure how that happened.

I cannot believe that it is less than two weeks until our cruise. I am so ready for a holiday. I think I am pushing my luck though. I was at a karate seminar the last two days ith Master Danny Lane and I thought for sure I sprained my ankle this morning. Tonight, however I think I just pulled a muscle or strained it. Doesn't hurt near as bad and there isn't any swelling.

Well, just double checked all of our doc's. They are all filled out and ready to go. I think that I have read the Magic passport like 4 times already and gone thru the paperwork so much there is starting to be wear areas on some pages of the booklet.

Do you all use a checklist when getting ready to make sure you have done everything and packed everything?

That's a must do for us, Micheal! I keep ours as a spreadsheet on our home computer. I printed it out just before I got on this forum.

Our docs are well worn, too. We haven't filled ours out yet, probably this week though.

I had a motorcycle and I have the scar on my Knee to prove it! It wasa Kawasaki Enduro many years ago.

I'm getting in a Carribean frame of mind!!!!

Well, I don't have a *formal* check list now, but I make notes....those post its sure come in handy. I write down everything that crosses my mind that we would not consciously think of and compile them into one list. Things like charger for cell phone or mini nite lite for those middle of night wake up calls and no matter what, I always make note not to forget TOOTHBRUSHES! It's the little things that slip the ol' mind.
Yes......we are now in the time frame of saying" two weeks from today we will be"............

Hi everybody! Just heard from the in-laws and apparently an executive decision was made about excursions. They booked us on the Island Drive and Explorer Cruise on St. Maarten and the Island Drive and Coral World on St. Thomas. I was under the impression that we were winging it, but I guess they had other ideas Anybody else doing these?

We are doing the See & Sea Island tour on ST M. and St. Thomas Island tour. We've done the ST. T. Island tour last cruise, but I didn't want Char and Joe to miss the sights at St. Peter's Great House. Breath taking!
We had another 2 inches of snow last night!!! Will it ever end??? Isn't there supposed to be a February thaw????? Let's hope it starts Feb. 1st.

We got 5 inches of snow yesterday!!!

I'm really tired of it!!!

We're doing the 12 Metre Regatta at St. Martin. We're wingin' it at St. Thomas. We're doing the cable car up the hill overlooking the bay and shopping, at least.

Who's bringing their dancing shoes? We're planning on shaking our groove thing in the night clubs every night!

Hubby actually watched the game, I watched mostly for the commercials and halftime show, both of which I was a little dissappointed with. Oh well. I think my favorite commercials were the Budweiser zebra referee and the Osbournes for Pepsi. Um, what was up with Shania Twain's outfit? I'm glad I didn't buy that for formal nite! Yikes!

I can finally say we leave NEXT WEEK! Hip-hip-HOORAY!!

Hi Everybody - I had such a crazy week - I had to go to Ottawa for work, then my flight got bumped, so I spent 6 hours in the airport, and now I am finally home and trying to catch up on all I missed on the Disboards... We are getting really excited. It will be nice to get away from the -30 weather that we have had all month. I can't remember it being so cold!!! We are leaving on February 3rd and come back on the 25th so I will definitely have to do laundry somewhere along the way. If only we could take our whole closet it would be so much more convenient. Chrissy, way back when, you asked if I found something for Valentine's Day but I am at a complete loss - I was thinking of ordering some chocolate covered strawberries to the room but it's not like there's going to be a shortage of food. You guys out there, can you help us out? What would YOU like for Valentine's Day.
BTW - the meet at 3:00 sounds fine for us...
Welcome Michael and Janelle... Michael, if my DH starts talking about motorcycles, tell him NO!!!
Gary - we will have our dancing shoes with us... and I can hear your karaoke voice come through when you list those songs...

We have a great group of DISers on this sailing. The kids are so close in ages....this may be the start of long Disney friendships for them! It really is a great feeling to say we leave next week. FINALLY!!!!
Annie, I am saving my *I would like for Valentine's Day** for St. Thomas. I'm not sure what I would like, but I think I'll know it when I see it!! Haven't a clue for Wayne yet!! I'm sure Char and I will think of something for the DH'S. I promised a dear friend I would buy her a Mickey watch while at the resort.

I think Shania landed on the wrong planet for the halftime show. I thought the fact that she didn't even sing was lame. The #1 selling female artist in the universe and she lip-synched. PLUS...that song is about 5yrs. old.

Hi Annie! I was starting to wonder where you ran off to. Sounds like you can definitely use a vacation right about now

So I casually brought up Valentine's Day with the hubby last night and we decided not to get each other anything beforehand and if we find something we want on vacation, tell the other and that will be our gift. We're going to try and make reservations for Palo's that night too. I guess that makes it easier. Sometimes men can be so hard to surprise

The amount of ironing I have ahead of me is too daunting to comprehend right now....it's my least favorite chore too....hopefully the garment back does its job during the trip!!

This is my moment of peace and quiet before the family wakes up. Annie, thanks so much for compiling the list. I was about to go searching through the past messages to find it. As for Shania Twain my 3 yr old daughter said "I don't want to watch this show there's a scary lady on it" and she kept pointing to Shania. Out of the mouth's of babes.LOL. Not much of a Shania fan myself so we didn't watch that part, more of a Deadhead hippie. Pairing Gwen Stefani and Sting is always an interesting idea though. Now if they could resurrect Jerry Garcia and have the Grateful Dead play at half time-I think everyone would watch that.
Congrats to all you Bucs fans, they played a good game.
