We have to be in our staterooms when they call the drill? I didn't know that. I guess there are things I will find out when I get my DOCS! Ugh! Where are those things????

The only other place I was going to add to the mix would be the Deck 7 Aft Verandah. Supposedly not crowded, but it's not a secret on this board!! Hee hee

Chrissy....we must have been posting the same time this A.M.
We are picked at at 12:00 from Wilderness Lodge. I would imagine we will be in port around 1:00ish.
YES.....Studio Sea just may work with a time narrowed down. This will give us time to make ressies for Palos...head down to Studio Sea and head back to our rooms for the drill at 4:00.
AND FROM THERE.......IT'S A FREE FOR ALL!!!!!

I was thinking the same thing, Laura. Short meet and great before the drill. I will be wearing SEP when we leave the Beach Club that morning. We're going over on the DCL bus so we'll probably be at the terminal 12:30 - 1:00 P.M. ish. Gail and I are definately getting down with our bad selves in the night clubs that night so maybe we can regroup then!

Hello to all, I've been reading your posts for a couple days and thought I'd actually register and say Hi! My name is Patty, I live outside Portland Oregon. My family will be on the Feb 8 cruise, so will my sister and her family. We have 2 kids age 3 and 5. Both will have b-day celebrations on the cruise. Their cousin will also have a b-day on the cruise-she's turning 6. My sis and I have been wanting to do this since the kids were born. We're very excited our disney dream is coming true. We're at WDW for 10 days first, staying at the Polynesian. I'm looking for some other families to meet with so the kids can play together in the club, while we parents have some much needed R & R. See ya'll there.

Oh, I am just so excited!!! It's not like I've never done this cruise before ya know, but it is just so exciting. I see there are a few new *faces* in the crowd. Welcome.
OK....Studio Sea it will be. This is where they hold the DVC meets also, and this will narrow down a SPOT for us. It is great place since it is an atrium overlooking deck 3 to Lumieres just below and the main elevator shaft is just opposite it.
Hey, got my new luggage today...so I can really *Start* packing and not just piling.

Welcome to the new posters... I like your idea Laura of the Palo brunch or the high tea as a group. Would we be able to organize this ahead of time (head count) and then one person make the rezzies? A quick meet in Studio Sea sounds good, too!! We just went shopping and DH decided to buy a new suit. I think he will need more luggage than me!! Also - weather news from the North - first the ton of snow fell, then we had rain for two days, and now it is COLD!!!! Looking very forward to the fun in the sun...

You sure are having all sorts or weather now aren't you??? Jersey has been unreal also. Snow, flurries, rain...50*'s yesterday and now we are expecting not to get above 20's this w/e and another storm for next week. YIKES. Soon enough we will be wearing our shades and sandals...I've had enough of the boots!
You really think we could pull off a brunch or tea? I wonder.......

Our life vests are stored in our room closet...we need to have them on . This requires a little practice. Let me tell you how much the DH and I laughed at each other. He could not stop saluting me and saying AYE AYE CAPT.!!! He knows who rules the decks on that ship!!

Me too Gary.....enough of winter.......OUT of here I say!!! I overheard a conversation today from a family that had just returned that Orlando is cold!! Yikes.
Is anyone worried about a weather delay on our day of departure? Our cruise in 2001 cost us a few more $$ due to knowing there was a storm on the way and we headed down a day earlier. ( airline fee and another nights stay at POR)I had visions of doing a Lucy Ricardo......being dropped on the deck of the ship by helicopter!!
Gee... I hope the drink of the day is a *SEA BREEZE*!!! I can taste them now.
OOO, one of the first things I want to do is to go to the WD Theater and check out the silent auction items. It is fun watching the bids for the items on display.
And yes, the lifeboat drill is a true KODAK moment or two!

MMMmm, just looking at board, and noticing people saying how chilly it is in Orlando! Should I pack thermal underwear? Was hoping to escape unpleasant English weather for a couple of weeks. Perhaps the Bahamas/Caribbean/Mexico is warmer? I hope so!!! P.s. Is it compulsory to wear daft hats on ship?Haha. I HOPE SO! It sounds fun!

Just talked to my Mom in Florida and she says it's much warmer now! I think we'll be fine.

It's been snowing here since noon yesterday! LES is working overtime!!!

Gail found a WDW visor to wear to help everyone find us in the terminal/on the ship.

Great job of organizing the name, Annie! I'll post a list of cabin numbers when the cruise gets closer.

natdencro, the wearing of daft hats is not compulsory but it is greatly encouraged!!!!! I have a couple others that I am bringing along with SEP.

Just spoken to daughter on the Magic...........Port - bit chilly, but Caribbean/Bahamas/CC/Mexico, etc., are hot! Thank goodness!Sea much calmer now......... looking good for Feb!

I sure hope it's warmer at the port than it is here on the gulf coast. We're having a hard freeze tonight and possibility of sleet tomorrow????? Yikes!

I'll try to fill in some blanks for you about our little group. It's myself and my husband Tim, his parents Mike & Linda and their friends Bill & Linda. There was supposed to be one other couple with us, but her husband has been deployed in Uzbekistan since last June and will be home the week before the cruise so I think they decided to cancel and spend some "quality" time together at home.
