2/8/03 Eastern Magic Anyone?

My wife and I are taking our first Disney Cruise on 2/8/03.
We are DVC members with OKW as our home resort. We have sailed three other times on Holland America and are curious to see how DCL compares to HAL.

We are looking forward to meeting some new friends!

YES!! We will be there! Our first Disney cruise ever. I'm flying all the family out to Florida for an unforgetable vacation! It will be myself -26, Dad-47, Mum- 42, Younger Sis-18, and My neice-7.

I booked 2 Cat 6 staterooms. If anybody who's going on 2-8 has anyone ages 5-8 lemme know so she can have a friend.

Can't wait. We've got a giant cruise box goin and I just can't wait to go. Did I say that already?

We have a small but enthusiastic group here! I have to find some Diet Pepsi before we board the ship because I think it's all Coke products on the ship. Also, I've got to find some information about shopping for electronics in St. Martin. New camcorder!!!

don't have many DISer's cruising that week with us. The DVC cruise is just prior to ours. I guess everyone jumped on board with that offer. I've been counting my days since day 290!!!! Is anyone staying at their home resort prior to the cruise? I'm thrilled about staying at VWL...first time since buying there. The second time around is just as exciting as our first cruise. The ANTICIPATION is *paining* me.

I think I've watched the Disney Cruise Video every night this week. ::::sigh::: I can't wait!!!

Some friends of ours just came back from a 4 day cruise on the Wonder and said they had a great time! This was their first cruise with DCL. They are DINKs (see above) like us and said there is plenty of activities for couples.

I want to go NOW!!!

I remember doing the same before our first DC in 2001. I just couldn't get enough of the video. I felt like Alice in Wonderland just waiting to fall through the looking glass on to the ship! It all became real on our bus ride over to the port. You could see *The Magic* off in the distance....she was amazing and breathtaking. I was totally intrigued with the ship.....especially the MICKEY whistle!

Can any of you do me a LARGE favor? I am not a fan of Coke
products and I just learned that's all they have on DCL. We probably won't have time to do any grocery shopping before we board the ship, so if some wonderful, kind, generous (Is it working?) person would get me a 12 pack of Diet Pepsi to take on board I would be foreverly grateful! The DW would like a 12 pack of Doctor Pepper also.

We can make delivery and reimbursement (Boat Drinks!!!) plans later.

I would have responded sooner but our DSL service was down last night. I ordered a new DCL video so we can get even MORE fired up about the cruise! (As if that's really necessary )

We may as well make a sailaway party out of this..........would you like any chips and dips to go with that diet pepsi?? As for me, I am a Coke fan. My dilemma is finding good ol' Earl of Lipton tea any where in THE World. I usually just bring it along.

We'll probably be bringing a few things from home ourselves.

getting closer to a double digit countdown. Goodbye triple digits! The anticipation is torture. You would never guess I've done this cruise before now would you? I cannot wait to hear that Mickey whistle as we leave port and get to to those on shore. Is any one flying in the night before? We are staying a VWL. I am in a tizzy over taking DCL bus or TC service. I'm leaning towards the bus idea just for the atmosphere around us. We had a great driver last time. Oh happy joy-joy!

I can't believe where the time is going. We've been planning this for so long and now there's only about 3 or so months to go! We've never cruised before at all, so this is going to be all new to us.

OKWMEMBER - gotcha covered on the soda. Our problem is going to be finding decent iced tea on the ship. That's what the hubby lives on and me, I'm pretty much a water gal, but I can't wait for those fruity tropical drinks...ahh...okay, back to reality for a few more months.

Just curious, anyone have the late seating for dining? Have you all decided on excursions yet? I've made first and second excursion choices for that *just in case* scenario, but plan on leaving plenty of time for "shopping". I'm like a kid in a candy shop when it comes to the jewelry shops.
