Our next trip, our daughter will be 2.5 and our ds will be 8 mos. She is in a big girl bed now. do you think she will be okay in the pullout with bedrails?
One of the issues with pullout sofas is the gap between the head of the mattress and the sofa. I've slept in a pullout sofa with my 2 year old, but I made sure that the gap was firmly plugged by cushions etc.
We purchased a cute princess blow-up mattress/sleeping bag at Walmart for our 2 1/2 year old when we went this summer. Unfortunately, she wanted nothing to do with it and slept with us for the week (luckily it was a King bed).
My two-year old is one of those sleepers who moves around constantly. I was afraid he would fall off the sleeper sofa, but he was so exhausted every night, that I don't think he even moved. If only it was that easy at home!
This was a concern of mine too. My DD will be turning 3 on our trip in September. We just recently moved her to a toddler bed but I didn't know how she would do on a sofa bed. I bought this little cot for her from one step ahead.
It's great. I thought it looked a little umcomfortable but she loves it. She has slept in it the past 2 nights! It also folds up easily and compactly. I didn't want to have to bother with putting the sofa bed up and down each day.
