Hi All,

I loved these forums back in November when I took my family to WDW.

Well now I have a last-minute opportunity to join my best friend at DL for three days (actually evenings - 5-Midnight) - just the two of us! :cool1: She's the person I first went to DL with back when I was SEVEN. . . . then again when I was 16.... then again when I was 22. So it's been 13 years since we've been there together.

Suggestions?

P.

My suggestion...have fun!!! I would love to go to DL with just my husband but my kids would never speak to me again if we went to DL without them. Don't get me wrong I love taking the kids, but it would be neat to see it with just my husband!

Definately go!!! Have a wonderful time!

Just don't hype it up too much in front of the kids so they don't feel bad. I hope I can do this in the future.

I know just how excited you are! Me and my two best friend will be in the parks on May 5-6. We are leaving our kids and husbands at home. We fly in Thrusday, go to the parks on Fri/ Sat and shopping Sunday before we fly home. We've been planning since November, and now are down to less then a month.

Try to catch the fireworks while you are there. They are WONDERFUL.

How fun! I would want to do so many things!

Do things you don't do with the kids: Maybe a nice dinner, like Napa Rose. Tour the 50th celebration exhibit. Take one of the guided tours around the park. Tour the GCH. Stay up late!
Do things that make you feel like a kid! Ride Dumbo, Peter Pan, the Teacups! Eat a Mickey cookie. Or Mickey krispie treat. Or Mickey ice cream. Have your picture taken with a character. Have a blast!

Do you have pictures from your previous trips? You could recreate the poses and scenery.

Take a tour, go shopping, have a nice meal and have fun.

I LOVE THIS IDEA! I hadn't actually booked my ticket when I posted my original message. Now that I have booked I am sooooooooooo excited.

:cheer2:

Go enjoy yourself, don't worry about the kids, they'll recover. My DH and I went to WDW by ourselves in October and it was great. I will be going with my sister this coming October to celebrate my 40th. Girls Only. My DH and I take are kids on trips all the time and the kids have done DL countless times and WDW in June 2005. So I don't feel too guilty about my adult only trips. :thumbsup2

It is really fun just going with adults (girls only is better!) me and my friend went last year with our husbands for my birthday and it was one of the most fun times I've had. I take my kids at least 1 time a year so I did not feel guilty going without them. We went straight to all the big rides and did not even go in Fairytale land. We rode the California Screaming in California Adventure 4 times in a row. We had nice dinners every night and did not have to worry about tired feet or whining!! I decided that is what i want to do every year for my birthday, this year i am taking my older neices, they can go off on their own if they want to. :) We also took pictures with some of the charaters, DL is truely the happiest place on earth in my opinion!!
