Hi, we've got and ADR on the 25th at Whispering Canyon and our travel agent said to allow 2-3 hours travel time from POFQ to Wilderness? That sounds crazy long (we have two kids 1.5 and. 5.5)?!?! Is that correct?! If so I need to switch this ADR stat....

It may or may not. 3 is really on the outside, but close to 2...maybe.

Travel between resorts can take FOREVER since there are not direct routes between them and you would have to transfer midway through. So while it may take 20 minutes of actual riding the bus time, you will still wait for the bus to arrive (an unknown amt of time) and then have to wait again (another unknown amt of time) for the bus at MK to get to WL.

You have a few options--switch the ADR to a time/place that works better for you, take your chances with the busses, or grab a taxi at the hotel (around $20 w/tip--fair price for your sanity). With kids that age, I would ABSOLUTELY choose the first or third.

Barring any unforeseen mishaps (broken bus, accident, etc) it will not take 2-3 hours. That's crazy. Lets say you just miss the bus/boat each leg of the way...you will wait 20 minutes for the bus, 15 minutes to the MK, 20 min. For the boat, 15 min to the WL, 15 min walking on both ends...you are looking at 1-1.5 tops.

I like to arrange ADRs at resorts in conjunction with a nearby park, but if you are just going there and back it's probably not worth it.

It will not take that long. Take the bus to MK and boat over to the WL. I would allow 1 1/2 hour. You may want to plan to be at the MK that day, and them just boat over from there. Beautiful ride. Another though if you need to be at the resort before is a taxi. You can request one with car seats. You could take the boat/bus back since you will not be in a time crunch. One last piece of advice that you did not ask for,:worship:, we are not huge fans of WCC.When we stay at WL, we do eat there, but would not go out of our way to eat there if we had to go from another resort.

Thanks so much for all the responses! I think we were planning to be at Hollywood studios this day. It's our wedding anniversary any recs for another ADR we could make?

Happy Anniversary!

I might suggest taking the boat from POFQ to Downtown and going to Wolfgang Puck Express or Raglan Road (Irish dancers!). Splitsville could be good, too, if bowling sounds fun. Or if you'll be at DHS, take the boat and try Kouzzina at Boardwalk.

Take the bus from POFQ to MK. Then take the WL BUS to WL. It is faster and more direct than the boat. You can take the boat back to the MK after you are finished eating if you want to ride the boat.

Or take a cab.

If you are at DHS, just take a WL bus from there to WL for your ADR.

Deb and Bill that sounds great, if I took the bus directly from dhs would I be looking at an hour or so?

Our five year old is soooo excited about the antics and DH LOVES barbecue type stuff and milkshakes that's why we chose this one;)

Maybe close. Depending on how long you have to wait for the bus and if it stops at another resort before WL. I know the Epcot bus from WL stops at FW after WL. But I'm not sure about the DHS bus from WL.

You should be good with an hour from HS to WL taking the WL bus.

If you decide to eat at HS, we like most of the TS there except the food at H&V. Characters are great just not the food. We like MM very much, 50's prime time is fun as is Sci- Fi. Brown Derby is very nice.

Your child will like all the fun at WL.
It is just over the top crazy loud and too much for us! Food is ok.
