2-3 hours to kill on last day at Contemporary Resort

I often spend time at the pool, relaxing. It depends on how long my trip was, for shorter trips I visit a park until the last minute.

True story. The last time I flew out of MCO, it wasn't just the length of the lines that were a problem, but the absolute fiasco of disorganization. They had lines merging into lines, but not just at the beginning. They had lines joining up with lines in the middle! People were getting angry and not letting people in, so it was like a traffic jam at rush hour. I think it took over an hour to get through security.

I used to think the 3 hour before departure ME pick up time was excessive, but not any longer. Twice now in our last 4 trips we have had to RUN once we left security to barely make it onto our flight. I don't think we've ever experienced a security mess like at MCO.

Tenthing the suggestion to try the boat to the Wilderness Lodge. It's a fun trip on a little boat with a lovely view. You'll get some great pictures of the Contemporary and the WL is gorgeous.

To the people suggesting hanging out by the pool, if checkout is 10-11 AM, how do you dry off and where do you change? How do you deal with the wet swimwear when you've got a flight in 3 hours?

Last time we stayed at the contemporary we rented a pontoon boat to ride around the lakes. It was awesome. My kids loved it and so did we. very relaxing.

And I echo others about the MCO issues. We just flew out last Friday and had maybe 30 minutes after we got through security. We were picked up 3 hours and 10 minutes before our flight. After picking us up we made another stop at another resort, then caught terrible traffic due to an accident on the interstate, then security was horrible with the merging lines. I was hoping to look around at the airport stores, but we didn't have time.
