Having countless trips to WDW, and only 1 trip to DLR I am trying to pick the best time for us to visit. Our options are 2/25-3/4, or 6/3-6/10. What I have come up with a list of pros and cons, however I would like to ask the veterans of the DLR their thoughts. Our daughters have never been to DLR, they will be 9 & 16 when we travel.

Pros for 2/25 trip
Cooler weather
fewer crowds
less expensive (resort)

Cons for 2/25
cooler weather
rain
missing 3 school days
shorter hours
may be too cool for swimming
ride/show closures for refurb

Pros for 6/3 trip
warmer weather
school is out
longer operating hours
few ride/show refurbs

Cons for 6/3 trip
warmer weather
more expensive (resort)
larger crowds

Is there anything else I should take into account? Thank you so much for reading this and any thoughts you can pass my way :)

You've got the gist of it like a DL vet! The only thing missing is Grad Nites are in June. Based on past dates you will hit a few, I don't think actual dates are out yet. They may or may not effect your trip, opinions are varied (from "worst night in DL ever" to "what grads? Y'all are complaining about NOTHING"). Some searching here for "Grad Nite" should give you more than enough info on the topic.

Personally I would pick June because I love the full show schedule and longer operating hours. I also enjoy water rides and swimming when on vacation, so that's a summer plus for me as well. (FWIW, I've done many a grad nite and am in the "worst night ever" camp- and yet I would still pick June!)

one thing, february's cooler weather can actually be what i call perfect weather. like lowers to mid 70's. and those june dates could be 90's or even 100's. I greatly prefer the park at a reasonable temperature. I even have an AP and I'm a teacher who is off all summer and yet I never go to DLR in the summer. This why I go during spring and october breaks and the odd long weekend but never in the summer.

Personally, I'd pick June also for the longer daylight hours. February is a crap shoot with weather - you might get cool, cold, rainy, or Sta. Ana wind conditions, and we never know until a week or so out what the weather is going to be like. At least in June you will have cool mornings and cool evenings with sunny middays for the most part.

Thank you for your input everyone. I am pretty sure we will go in June. We will plan accordingly with the grad nights. Also, we have a trip to WDW 3 1/2 months earlier than what would have been our DLR February trip, so this will space the magic out a bit better :)
