Unless I'm doing something wrong. It looks like less points to book 2 2 bedrooms than to book a grand villa. 486 points for 2 2 bedroom's and 505 points for a grand villa. Does this seem strange?

No, it is different and kinda silly if you think about it. But the amount of GVs are so limited. We booked 2 2-bedrooms instead, but it actually works better for us that way.

I don't think that's out of line. There are lot more 2 bedroom units, both dedicated and lockoffs, than GVs. They can charge a premium for the GVs and do.

Even between resorts the point cost for GVs can vary widely. For example, If I remember correctly from my last look at the pt charts during certain times of the year a GV at OKW is around 200 pts less than a GV at AKV for the same time period.

At OKW GV is fewer points than two 2BRs, at AKV, BWV, and SSR the GV is more. It is not strange particularly at AKV and BWV which have some single story GVs which are palatial.

And to the note above of how OKW GV can sometimes be 200 points less than AKV GV, consider that parts of the year an OKW GV is less than a 2BR MKV view at the new BLT.

I didnt realize there were single story AKV GVs! Wow! I'd love to get a peek at those!!

It does all depend on where you want a GV, BLT is a lot like SSR and BWV in that comparison, and yes you can also get a GV at OKW for 3-7 points more than a 1BR MK view BLT room during weekdays except premier season when it is 10 points more.

You have to love those OKW point charts.

AKV Jambo's GV are incredible! We were able to stay there for two nights and have never stayed anyplace nicer not SSR nor OKW GV. There's a pool table in one room and tv in the master bath. The dining room table actually seats 12 too, which we needed. Having one floor feels spacious.

I can see where it might seem strange, though. Just looking at the fact that you can sleep 16 people for less points than 12 people at the same resort-if you just look at it from that point of view it seems strange.

True, but then again there is a premium for having the common areas that can fit everyone.
