These are great travel bags. I have one and my son has one and they have traveled on airplanes, on camping trips, and road trips for years. Still in perfect condition.

Thanks so much for this post! Just ordered one for my son's birthday as he's going on a trip to Joshua Tree state park and they'll be camping so he needs to be bringing his tent, sleeping bag and other camping gear cross country. This will be perfect and even better, he's not having to borrow one of my suitcases to cram full!

Thank you! My girls both have the small blue one that we got for sleep over camp. I could never believe how much they could hold. Just ordered the large blue one to match and sent the information to a bunch of friends. I wanted the medium as well but the solid blue I wanted was sold out already- I knew I should have made my decisions this morning!

DS & I each have the Large rolling duffel. We both used them on his soccer team's trip to England. It was a 10 day trip, and these bags were perfect. Held everything I needed, plus regular clothes, training gear, game uniforms, & several pair of cleats for DS. Our bus driver deemed them 'brilliant' for loading and unloading as there are handles everywhere.

I think I'm off to order a Medium for myself........

Hmm I always was afraid of soft sided duffles for fear of having everything broken or crushed inside it....but I really do love this...

Just one caution - from the reviews on the LL Bean website, it looks like the only complaint about these duffels is that they do not stand up on their own. I did buy one anyway, but something to think about, especially if you travel with a lot of luggage and don't want to always have to be holding this bag up.

I have been using them for over 5 years now, if I were taking a lot of public transportation (i.e. subway) it would be annoying. For airline and car travel it has never been an issue for us.
