2/13/2011 Disney Dream 4 Day Cruise

:rotfl2: We made it this is a fabulous hotel I have been to the Raddison and CI&S and this hotel is much better. We are at the Residence Inn and suites. It is right next door to CI&S. Funny thing is we are in a handicap room:lmao:we also have a handicap cabin on the ship.I am in an aircast but I don't need an accessible room:rotfl2:

We made it to Animal Kingdom Lodge! Sweet "Dream"s everyone, and see you tomorrow!

Hey guys!

I didn't meet ANY of you...:scared1:. DOH! How'd that happen? I hope you all had a great time. We absolutely LOVED it...SO glad we sailed the 3 day beforehand, too. Our 3-day day @ CC was windy, cloudy & cold....hoody weather & jeans. WE had an awesome day, though, didn't we?

We didn't catch the meet and greet either, we were too busy exploring the ship and when I looked down at my watch, it was already over! We had a great time on the ship and the weather was nearly perfect!!

we had a great time also, was really perfect, cant wait to go again sorry we didnt get to meet everyone.

We are on our way home:sad2: We spent 2 nights at AKV savannah view room and it was the perfect ending. We will be back Wednesday for the shuttle launch. Let's hope its a go this time:lmao: Anyone else going to see the launch?

Sorry we didn't get to meet any of you! We had a great time too. The day at Castaway Cay was just perfect, except for a teeny little sunburn I still have. Food was even better than I hoped, and my scale seems to confirm. DS talking about when we can go back, I didn't tell him yet I put a deposit on the 5nt with two stops at CC Aug 24 2012. Can't wait!

Saw your door right down the hall from ours, DS loved your decorations!

Right now I am writing a pretty long review to post on Cruise Critic. We LOVED the Dream, but I am still not sold on paying the premium price for DCL verus Royal Caribbean. When we did the Independence of the Seas (Nov 2008-it was brand new and largest at the time) we paid only $300 more and that was 8 nights. We had a D1 on the Independence which is the same as a 4B or 4A, on the Dream we had a 4C. So, we think our next cruise is going to be the Oasis or Allure of the Seas with my parents.

Maybe we just had some bad luck- room steward did nothing above and beyond his duites (asked for wine glasses, got them 12 hours later, never learned our names, hair in shower when we arrived, etc), slow dinner servers to the point we were the last ones out every night and almost missed the pirate party (our table mates were furious- ended up getting a bottle of Champagne from the head waiter), the Palo server tacked on extra tip over what we left her and when I got my luggage at Port Canaveral 2 pieces were stained with yellow paint and now I am dealing with Disney Risk Management.

Ugh, I wonder how many bags got paint on them? If you need to file a claim, this is what DCL sent me...

Should you wish to file a claim for the damaged bag, please feel free to contact our Risk Management Department at (407) 566-7539.

I left a message for them, still haven't heard back yet.

FYI, dealing with them was horrible. Let's just say when you talk to them they don't say "Have a magical day" at the end of the call...

They made me a terrible offer-$9 per bag and this was after they admitted to me it happened to other people's luggage. They did determine it happened on the ship and not while being handled by the porter service at Port Canaveral. When I finally read them #16 of the Cruise contract they made a fair offer.
