Hi! I'm working with Sarah on a gift basket to be in our room on the evening of our anniversary and I'm drawing a blank on what to ask her to include. Does anyone have any ideas? I know I'd like glasses, we're bringing our own champagne, but other than that I don't know. I was going to have her look into some pins since we bought a lanyard last trip with wedding pins, but I don't know if they make anniversary related pins or not?? Our favorite characters are Stitch and Goofy, but don't think we'd like to have plushies around the house with our 3 dogs. Any ideas are appreciated! Thanks, Shu

Hi Shu,

I'm not sure about the pins...DH and I aren't pin people, but what about some food? I'm thinking chocolate covered strawberries or something like that. What about a Pal Mickey? We're going for our 5th anniversary, and I'd really like to get the bride and groom hats and glitter paint and put the number 5 on them...you could do that with the number 1 maybe? How about one of the Disney travel books like Unofficial Guide to Disney for Grownups? How about some of those Bride and Groom salt and pepper shakers? Autograph book? Photo album? Figurines? Fresh flowers? Hope that helps!

Would Sarah be able to give you any suggestions or ideas from other baskets she has done?

Congratulations on your anniversary! I hope you have a great trip.

Thanks guys. Yes Sarah has given me a few options, but as of right now I guess I'm picky because nothing has struck my fancy other than champagne flutes for the champagne I'm bringing down. We're thinking about taking our wedding ears down with us and we already have the guides, hubby doesn't like strawberries but i do, so if we get the strawberries what could be a good thing for him? I'd love to have a nice romantic evening with him but I'm so out of the loop when it comes to ideas. I know Sarah will do the best she can to help, but I'd really like to save her from too much trouble with trying to suit me, I just would like to have a game plan to get the ball rolling. Shu

Here's a few ideas I came up with. Hopefully some of them work for you.

Massage oils or lotion

A book on massage to learn new techniques and experiment

Bubble Bath

Scented candles (can be used for a bubble bath together or for the massage)

Cake - if you have your cake top from your wedding in your freezer, have it shipped to Disney and waiting for you and your husband to enjoy together. If not, order a cake to share to celebrate. Use your cake knife from your wedding.

A nice blanket to use to sit on one of the Deluxe resort beaches that overlook MK and watch fireworks together, the water pagent or just sit on the beach under the stars.

Good luck!

Yes, DEFINITELY include a note or card
about having a romatic dinner a-top the
Contemporary Hotel in the California Grill.

Request a corner seat... and time it so you
watch the fireworks above the castle...

And it will be... well.... MAGICAL! :-)

Congrats on the anniversary. WE are also going in May to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary (7 years together).

I'd also suggest things like massage oils and such -- stuff you can both enjoy together. You could also maybe get an empty picture frame that y'all can put a picture from your trip in. Make a point of going somewhere to pose with your favorite characters and put that picture in the frame when you get home so that you can always remember your trip.

Congratulations!!! My wife and I celebrated our 1st anniversary there. I can tell you the basket will make it that much more special. Best wishes!

Hi, I replied earlier...but I was wondering...who's Sarah?

The 1st anniversary is paper, so you could buy a single share of Disney stock @ oneshare.com. You can also personalize a message to include with the stock.

Thanks for the ideas guys, Sarah is checking into some massage oils and candles for my basket. We're taking our cake and champagne with us and we're already Disney shareholders, but I agree that would be a wonderful idea for a 1st anni. Sarah, by the way, is the lady that does gift baskets down in WDW. Shu
