Hi Everyone, a few pics from our 1st week if anyone wants a look, 2 folders, one from my Camera and one from Matt's. http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/dclmad
Some will be of no interest as they also include pics for our geocaching friends.
Weather has cooled down last 2 days, was hitting near record highs but last 2 days not great, hotter the better for me.
Parks really busy, hoping they start to get quieter.
Did new Simpsons ride, having never really seen Simpsons I preferred Back to the Future but I guess things have to change with the times.
Had great food again, Ale house twice, Mimi's Cafe (perfect liver, bacon, onions and mushrooms), Chili's for 1st time but will go back had a dessert which was probably best I have ever had. Today went to Beaches and Cream at Beach Club had Kitchen Sink, 3 of us couldn't finish it.
Budget car rental thru USrentacar was great, line was about 1 hour long but walked right passed to kiosk in parking lot, they had keys waiting for me, just as good as Dollar express. Got a Pontiac Grand Prix, great car done over 1,000 miles in the week (only do 3,000 a year at home)
Immigration we got same officer we had at Easter, most friendly one they have I am sure, made us very welcome again.
Until we go on cruise on 18th staying at Country Inn and Suites, absolute bargain at £20/night, free breakfast and wireless internet, fridge, microwave, everything we could want. Pool a little small but we never get time to use it.

great pictures, glad your having a good time :goodvibes

Great photos - you all look really happy. It looks as though you made a pretty good job of that Kitchen Sink to me!

Thanks for the info on Budget. As an unknown quantity to us, we've always avoided them in the past. It sounds as though we can safely add them to the list of possibles.

wow.. you demolished the kitchen sink! im seriously impressed with just three of you! :)

Great photos Wayne. Looks like a great first week. :thumbsup2

Glad to hear you are having a good time. We had probs with Alamo through usrentacar, glad to hear Budget were good through them, and that you had a Grand Prix, as this was main reason I used Alamo - I love the Grand Prix - it's a beast! (To me anyway!) Going to have a look at your photos now.

Sara. :)

lovely pics, you look like you are having lots of fun, you did well with the kitchen sink

Great pics Wayne! My DD would have a fit if she saw all those Minnie Mouses!!

The time always goes too quickly though doesn't it - have a great rest of holiday!

Looks like your all having a great time there hope the weather picks up again for you and parks get a little quieter. Enjoy your second week looking forward to seeing more picutes!:goodvibes

Glad you are having a lovely time, your son has a really nice smile - no wonder seeing as how many times he gets to go to Disney.:goodvibes

ive heard a lot about the kitchen sink hoping we get to try it in nov

Now 2nd week over:sad1: Been here 15 nights feels like we only just got here, why does time go so quick on holiday?
More pics added, http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/dclmad
New Toy Story Mania ride is brilliant, worth going round the line just to see the displays. Fast passes have not worked well for us as the ride is so new everyone wants to do it so we decided to stand in line, I have a max 20 min wait for any ride so DW and DS could not believe I said yes to 70 min line. I had a feeling they had it wrong, we asked and they said about 60 mins. It was actually 35 mins and with the theming and constant moving I didn't mind, l thought it was worth the wait. Want to do again now, might have to wait until October.
Drove upto Daytona today, now done 1,700 miles and still trip to port Canaveral and back to do so going to exceed 2,000 miles this trip. Daytona was not what I expected, sooo quiet, looked like a resort that has had its day, we thought Saturday it would be busy but very quiet. Had a great day though, stopping off at Daytona speedway and doing some Geocaching.
Filled car up 5 times now, every gas station now wants zip code if you try pay at pump by credit card. Past visits used Racetrac on 192 no problems, no zip needed but looks like they have improved the security now. Had to prepay at all 5 of them.
New area at Busch (Jungala) is great, tiger enclosers get you really close to them, few pics in link above. Love Busch, think its my fave park now. Did Sheikra on front row, awesome ride. Last year did it at back but twice as good on front row.
Last day tomorrow(Sunday) before we cruise for 4 nights, hoping we miss the bad weather coming, then check into AKL for our last 3 nights next weekend.
Only downer has been the exchange rate but still much prefer to use fee free credit card than cash or TC's. would never go back to using them.
:)
