1st week of October. How Busy?

We are thinking of going that week . How crowded is it? I see vaule season ends in the beginning of week so will it mean a mad rush of people trying to get lower rate(s). would it be better to go last week of september?

Havent gone this time of year before, but we booked it b/c I read it was a slower time of year...many room s were booked already when we called to inquire on specific rooms.....hoping it will be a great time!

Hoping it won't be too crowded, but the Food & Wine festival starts then and also MNSSHParty at MK also starts up. I think they both will draw in some people, but hoping it won't really pick up until Columbus Day!!!

We honeymooned from 9/27-10/4/'04 and it wasn't too bad, the only things that seemed crowded were Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at MK and the Epcot Food and Wine festival, both were on the weekend before we left. The Food and Wine fest seemed to be a big attraction for local Floridians to attend. We never really waited much longer than 15 mins for anything the whole trip.

We are booked the first week of October, as well. The Unofficial Guide has a scale of crowd levels from 1-10, I think... the higher the rank the busier the attendance is... they list the first week of October as a 2. Hard to beat that...

Its not busy. We have been there twice around that time and it wasnt busy.
