1st Week of November

Looking at 11/5 and 11/6 for a two day trip (Thurs and Friday). We are from NJ and have this week off and can combine a visiting family trip with DLR. I have researched this week before, and the big thing was that Small World would be down. Are there holiday parties like at WDW during this time that would shorten park hours? Or anything big that I should be aware of? We were so happy IJ wasn't going to be down during our previous planned April trip but now I am worried that it will be down in November....if the park is open at all. Thanks!

Doubt the transition from Halloween to Christmas will be completed by Nov. 6.

So Last year Christmas started November 9th. You may find yourself right in the middle between Halloween and Christmas. If so, you may see reduced entertainment like parades and such as the make the transition. The tree usually goes up a bit early tho.

However the dates are a little funky, you could also find yourself there the very first official weekend of Christmas stuff...(Friday the 6th..)

DLR doesn't have paid event holiday parties like WDW. The holiday fun, e.g. holiday parade & fireworks, are included with the price of your park ticket. IASW goes down for the installation of the holiday overlay sometime around the third week of October and comes back up the first day of Holiday Time. HMH will already by up and running since it starts with the first day of Halloween Time. Look over the 2019 Holiday Time at DLR Superthread: 11/08/19 - 1/06/20! for good information on what happened, when, where, etc. during Holiday Time at DLR.

thanks for the info everyone. we are totally fine missing holiday stuff, it's more about what might be closed. we will just be on the brink of small world opening if it's historically that friday when things start. during this quarantine we have been watching the indiana jones movies and the kids would be so excited to go on the ride. that wouldn't be the reason not to go, but a bummer nonetheless. small world is my daughter's absolute fave and she's wanted to see the differences between DL and Magic Kingdoms. well, something to focus on since april was cancelled maybe avenger's campus will be open, so that will be a bonus. fingers crossed for all good news soon!

Booked the hotel for November 5-7. That’s easy to cancel if need me but it’s something! Hope it can happen!
