I know crowds are pretty high at Disney during Jersey week. Are they as busy at Universal? Also would Christmas decorations be up by then?

I am going to say not as busy as Disney, because I never noticed this at Universal being obscenely busy in the past during that time and never heard of it until now. I had to look it up to know what you were referencing. As for the decorations, things start popping up at the beginning of November, but it's not like Disney, where magically everything is changed overnight on the 1st of Nov.

HHN will still be going on until the 6th I believe, so Christmas decorations should be slow first week .

I just came to ask this exact question. It says HHN is ending Nov 2nd unless I was looking at the wrong year. I didn't even think about Jersey week. Is it definitely the first week of November this year? Ugh.

According to Touring Plans the New Jersey teacher convention starts on that Thursday so I think that means Jersey week. Looks like we'll just plan on Halloween decorations up yet. I actually think we might end up going Halloween week now since Christmas won't be up yet anyway.

You're right, the 2nd. Not sure why I thought the 6th .

Jersey week is always the first FULL week of November.

My mother and I were at PBH Saturday 11/4 to Thursday 11/9 in 2017 and while we noticed the pool getting more crowded (and the accents too!) around Wednesday, it wasn't bad at all.

My husband and I will be back this year 11/2 to 11/7 and we won't be sweating it. Of course, EP is a big part of the reason!

OK, we're going to book it, with park days Mon-Wed. UT says it won't be too bad and it will definitely be better than WDW with SWGE opening. We'll be getting EP too, which should help with the time we lose toddler-swapping.

I like baby swap much better at Universal than at Disney. You all wait in the line together and then there is a nice seating area for the baby and parent to wait. As soon as you're done with the ride they get the other person on immediately. At Disney you have to go through the whole FP line again which can sometimes take 20+ extra minutes.
