1st Week of Feb - FW Full

I have had reservations set at FW for quite a while (for 2/2/07 - 2/10/07), but my in-laws weren't sure when they were going to be arriving and didn't try to make reservations until last week. When they called, they were told that the campground is completely full for these dates. They put them on a waiting list - what are the odds that something will open up for them? Should they rely on the "waiting list", or should they keep trying back themselves?

I don't know what is going on at this time in Feb, but everything is booked for this time frame. I tried ressies at several different resorts and the only thing they had open was POP. Now I think it is full. I will be staying in a cabin. I can't wait. I would much rather be in a cabin than POP.

Febuary can be pretty busy they have speed week then Daytona 500.I would keep calling hopefully someone will cancel.

I found from personal experience not to wait on the "wait list". We were there last year and needed 2 more nights - we were on the wait list and checked up front every day and I called reservations 2 times a day. The 5th day we'd just been up front to check - no openings. Called reservations - they had several.
So if I were you I'd just keep trying. Cancellations happen all the time and folks move their dates around.

I also think the best thing to do is keep checking for yourself. I usually check on line, since that is easier for me than going through the whole process with reservations on the phone. Then if I find something, I will call right then with my browser still open to the screen ready to book on-line. Once there were sites available on-line but not by phone . So I booked on-line even though the cancellation policy is much better on the phone.

I looked and found partial hookups available for your time frame. I think the time you are looking at falls around Presidents Day weekend ( your departure is on 10 Feb, which I think is the Saturday of that weekend). That is a VERY busy time now at WDW. You might have better luck if you could adjust your departure date, even a day or two one way or another sometimes helps.

Just thought I would let y'all know that the national dance competitions are going on during that time. I snooped on their registration pages, and found out that they are offering packages for their groups with park hoppers. I don't think it will be as bad as pop turner week, but just thought y'all would appreciate a warning.
