Hi All!! I am sooooo many pages behind on this, it's been a busy few weeks for me. However, I just wanted to share I got the email today that my magic bands have shipped!!!! 29 days

@Candycane83 Sigh. Nope, our final payment has not been made. It makes me more sad than mad because there is somewhat of a history with this person and I trusted her. She booked our trip 3 years ago and it was fabulous. I think my last email from her was in July? She's done absolutely nothing save for book this vacation. Thank goodness for all of you.

@jillyh It's somehow reassuring to know there are other flip-floppers!! You sound like an amazing grandma! I LOVE your Halloween story and glad you had such fun.

@ Talby - I've done the same flip flopping with the dessert party. Have firmly dropped it. Since we're sans kids we will go to the 2nd parade, and we're there Tuesday the 6th so really hoping it isn't a huge crowd. I've done the same with a few other ADRS - keep going back and forth! I've also been indecisive about a few FP+. Have dropped my FEA again since we're sans kids after reading a thread on if it is enjoyable for adults. I really don't think my DH will be into it, but he would ride Soarin over and over so I currently have Soarin as our tier 1 on both of our epcot days.

Speaking of Frozen - I don't have a pic, but I went trick or treating with my daughter and her 2 1/2 y/o twins - and as a good grandma should I dressed up in an Olaf costume at their request. It was really fun! Other kids and adults seemed to enjoy it. I even got high fived by a bunch of kids

Wish we were able to go to JBJB on the 3rd with the rest of the crowd, but we don't arrive til 8pm or so. I'm sure I'll enjoy it on the 5th although I'm slightly concerned that now they've increased the number of guests for this to 250.

That is so cool!!! You're the coolest grandma ever (or should I say warmest )

I'm a little concerned about the number for the dessert party too, seems very high. I hope reviews come out good still... first party is soon..

For those of you staying at POR, or who have stayed there, I need some advice as to my room preference for online checkin. We have a royal room garden view room reserved so we will be in the mansions. My options are highest, ground, corner. Not sure what I should put here because later I will have to make more specific requests via fax.

If you have more specific requests, then I wouldn't request anything else. Sometimes that cancels out your fax.

I did request high floor and close to transportation on mine, but my fax will just show more specific examples of what I'm hoping for. I hope it works! This is only for my Pop reservation. I'm not sending a fax for the AOA one.

NOVEMBER is here!!! Arrival month for some of our friends on the thread! and just a couple of days until 30 for most of us ;-)
Did anyone start or bump up a walking regimen (a question to the non-runners like me)? I looked at new shoes on Sunday but didn't buy anything.

We're going to Disney this month! That's a crazy thought to me. I still have sooooo much to do.

Yes, I've been trying to walk more, but I'm having trouble fitting in the time (see above). I have one new pair of tennis shoes nice broken in and switched to another new pair and they are terrible. Luckily I think the problem is just the inserts. They are memory foam with arch supports built in and the supports feel like they are just wrong for my feet. So I'm going to try replacing the inserts before going to buy another new pair. I plan to take 2 pairs of tennis shoes, 1 pair of casual flats (that I wear to work everyday), and maybe a pair of flip flops.

I still haven't decided on my shoes yet... or broken in a new pair of flats I got... I'm so behind on planning now too... I feel like it's crunch time and I have more stuff to do!! We have so much things lined up before we go.

Do you know where I can find their fax number? Whenever I try to contact the resort I get directed to the main reservations line I just want to talk to someone at the front desk

Yep, I'm going through TP as well. I think they send the fax around 5 days before arrival.

For MK RD, I really want to see the welcome show but right now, my plan is in limbo because they changed the hours for Saturdays and I have a breakfast that day The other parks, I WANT to get there early, especially for DHS AM EMH... But not sure how feasible that is. We tried to go to the aquarium before 9am on Sunday and we got there by 9:30am

How did you request close to transportation on your online check-in? Mine only had options for Corner, ground floor, high floor. Are they different for different resorts?

Yes, I believe they are. Are you at POR? The moderates are pretty much all "close to transportation" since they have so many bus stops. Maybe that's why it wasn't an option for you. I bet the POR thread would say what the online check-in choices are.

Yes, I'm at a moderate (POR). My only options are highest, ground, and corner. Interesting that they are all different! I'm using the fax method (through touring plans to request more). Since my friend is traveling with me, we need to request that our rooms are adjoining or at least near each other!

I was on the fence about the dessert party too, but ultimately ended up passing on it. For me the parade view wasn't worth the money when the fireworks view was lackluster. I'm willing to wait for a good spot though, but I understand others may not. Plus from what I've read on similar parties, the tables are packed in, it's a bit haphazard, and the desserts just don't look that appealing to me. For people with larger parties (like @rasadkowski ) I think it makes sense...but for just me and DH I wanted flexibility, and to put my money towards other things.

Yeah, same here. I just didn't see the value, especially with not the best fireworks view when the whole point is that it's a FIREWORKS dessert party, lol. I want to make sure I get the full effect!

Also @DisneyBelle27 if @Lisa F and @Candycane83 end up doing the dessert party, you're more than welcome to grab a parade spot with me and DH!
