***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

ok guys, what is everyone's feeling on RoL? I was really expecting it to soft open by now. I feel like at some point if it doesn't soft open far enough from thanksgiving they will hold off til January so that they don't have a big mess on their hands and unhappy guests with an unreliable show during the busy season. Also I think that adding more hours (especially late night at the MK and HS) is an acknowledgement that there is not going to be any nighttime entertainment at the 4th park to split the load.

What do you guys think? this is total speculation on my part.

I think they are just being extremely cautious. I think they are adding more time to MK to appease the crowds with lack of night parade. Taking away the parade will create longer wait times. That's why I think they extended the hours or the crowds are going to be insane!

maybe they are already seeing an uptick in crowds with the parade gone. idiots (still bitter) I see rteetz is saying soft opening in next 2 weeks and he (she? lol) is extremely reliable but that is also what they are HOPING for, but if there is a setback

I just booked a backup dinner ADR assuming the 7pm park close is still happening without a show. Even if they do ROL right at 7pm, I could still make it to this ADR, but I'm really hoping they extend the hours even more. My AK day is supposed to be an "early to bed night", but 7pm is a little too early so I'd have time to fill, probably around the Boardwalk. Not a terrible problem to have I guess!

For someone who isn't planning to have upgraded dining, I sure am booking lots of ADR's! lol

I'm looking for Tusker House on the right day so we can do it as easily as possible, but wow is that a tough task! I keep booking alternatives while I wait for that perfect time, just in case "perfect" never happens and we have to go with "good enough".

Didn't rteetz say just last week that he attended the executive preview of ROL? Not sure what that meant but it sounds promising and that he is in the know somehow.

I feel the same way as @BDFmom i think they are being overly cautious. I think we will truly see what happens by mid November. Unfortunately for us, that's very close to our trip already!

That was rusty scupper I think still looking positive. I think we're just impatient for more information since our trips are so close already!

I know! I am still searching for a tusker lunch for 6 people at just the right time. I'm currently holding an ADR for 4 people and another one for 2 people at the same time so keep looking for that one that's for 6 people so the group risk goes away!

he didn't attend but he reported it happening. his info seems very good every time i've followed.

Same here. I've promised DH we would take a few years break...in which I will start pitching a universal vacation instead

Hahaha I can't do that, those two go hand in hand for me I'm pitching going back to Asia (and maybe a visit to a Disney over that side ) so even more pricey. But my family has been bugging me to bring my son back. I wonder how long can DH hold out putting it off

Yes!! I would love to book a trip for end of 2017, but then I have a feeling I'd be waiting again for more events/rides/whatever from Disney.

I hate to be a downer, but I went from being so sure it would be open, to being hopeful, to right now ( as of a few days ago).....not even thinking about it in my pm ak day

I agree that I thought there'd be a soft opening by now.
Especially with that 10/16 date several mentioned a few weeks ago
And those dining packages!
I thought for sure they'd repost them the next day..
What were they thinking?!?
I'm thinking of switching Ohana dinner to that day just to make the day a bit more " exciting ." Lol
